Good audio quality
I use an MP3 player as part of my sleep therapy with audiobooks so this one was a good choice in terms of audio quality and price-point. The capacity, battery life and form-factor are great. My only concern is the user interface. If you are listening to music it is easy to seek by track when they are 3-4 minutes long. Chapters for audiobooks can be 60+ minutes long so if you need to seek a particular section it can be tedious because the controls are compact and you can often accidentally select the next audiobook or several chapters/tracks. Overall a great device for audio playback for music and audiobooks. Less than spectacular as a night-time sleep aid.

Beware of buying this model.
It didn't work. I've owned multiple Sony MP3 players so I know how to use one. The online tech did his best but eventually advised me to send it back. Amazon gave me a refund for it, no problem there. It may have been a single bad product out of the batch, now discontinued. I found a used one, different model. for half the price on EBay and it works great. So save yourself a headache and avoid Sony NWE393/B 4GB Walkman MP3 Players.

Mp3 player has inadequate GB's.
The MP3 player I ordered doesn't have a sufficient level of GB's to meet my needs. Unfortunately I did not retain the original packaging to return it for credit. William Cook

lousy battery
battery needs to be charged after 5 hours max, although the device is brand new.no clockuser interface is somewhat strange and uncomfortable
