User blah blah review : Yum.
If you've got as far as reading this review, then you will have already done your research in the university of YouTube, Google searches etc and you're considering your options. I can only give my opinion as a user and I've had this lens for a couple of months now. Easy to digest review :-Heavy ? : No. If you lift a can of beans into the microwave then you can handle this.Tripod mount ? : Doesn't get in the way, is always there in case you need to smack her onto a tripod, and is very handy carrying handle when you don't want your gear to dangle in crowds. Not an issue all.Colours ? : For me mind-blowing. SOOC doesn't need much in LR. Gorgeous.Bokeh ? : No onions there. Creamy orbs.Focus ? : Insanely crystal clear sharpness. You have to learn how to use your camera if this doesn't work for you. Back button focus is the way. Mr. Google is your friend.Stealth ? : Aesthetically very, very pleasing. Non-intrusive as some big white lens are. Sexy and stealthy.DOF ? : Blows the background into creamy smithereen soup. Unfortunately my Canon doesn't have EVF so I can't enjoy it until I get the images back home onto the computer.Fast ? : In extremely low light, put a pair of sunglasses on before you chimp in the backscreen.Price ? : Yes, you have to invest in glass for the results that you crave. It is a big chunk of dosh to fork out but comes in at about half a grand cheaper than "branded" lenses. In saying that, Sigma are a brand unto themselves and you are buying into glass that has been made in Japan, and not somewhere else.Too much blahdy blah already. It's your money, your choice, spend your dosh wisely. I will let the attached images speak for themselves. LR and no PS. Oh, the next lens I will be buying will be a Sigma. 'Nuff said.

Well built product
I ordered this but had to send back due to my fault. I ordered for the wrong camera. When I did open it the build quality was awesome. It was a heavy well built beast. My son has since ordered for his camera and the images are superb, sharp and crisp. The auto focus is quick as well. Be warned though you WILL NEED a tripod as it hurts your arms after a while.

What a lens
This is a fantastic 70-200mm lens from Sigma.. It's on par with the Canon L equivalent at a fraction of the price.

Currently the best 70-200 option for Sony shooters
I recently made the switch from a full Canon setup to Sony (A7iii). I bought the Sigma MC-11 adapter to use my Canon lenses, and was very pleasantly surprised at how well most of them work on the Sony (the 35mm 1.4 L ii and 24-70 L ii and 85mm 1.2 L ii all perform pretty much like native lenses). However, the one lens that most certainly did not work well was my 70-200 2.8 IS L ii. It hunted for focus terribly, even in good light. Totally unusable, so I sold it. I was then left with a bit of a dilemma. Whilst I've always had a 70-200 in my bag, I tend to avoid using it as I don't particularly enjoy shooting with it. Too big, too removed from the subject in portrait shoots. I far prefer using my 85mm if possible. As I don't tend to use it that often there was no way I was going to spend over £2K on the Sony version. Silly money. That lead me to the Sigma. There wasn't a huge amount of information out there from Sony shooters using this lens on the MC-11 adapter, but I took a punt on it. Well, I'm impressed. Focusing seems to behave like a native lens (seems on par with my old Canon), it's unbelievably sharp and accurate, even in low light. I can't fault it. The build quality is beyond any lens I've ever used, including the Canon 70-200. It's like a tank. What I can fault is the size and weight. It is immense, and weighs a ton. I certainly wouldn't describe using this lens as an enjoyable experience...it's more like a workout, or being hit by a bus. It does take absolutely superb images though, and it's a bargain price. For any Canon shooters who have made the switch to Sony, I strongly suggest you give one of these a try.

Just as good or better than canon- pro opinion
As a professional in the field for 10 years, I needed a new 70-200 for my canon 5d4. I love that this lens is black, weather sealed, has great image stability, and is tack sharp... bonus is the price! It’s just as good as the newest canon 70-200 2.8 IS and is far cheaper. I use this lens for weddings, portraits and videography work as well. All around a great lens.If you are used to canon this will take a little getting used to because the focus and zoom rings are swapped in position. Also the mounting ring is not removable, which is fine with me. The rotation on the mounting ring is smoother than canon and I love that it has marked stops at the 90 and 180 degree rotations. Also, the lens hood is far superior to canon- finally a hood that locks in place! It even uses a release button to remove, so I will no longer be accidentally knocking it off throughout a wedding day.Overall I’m very happy with this purchase! The seller was great and shipping was right on time!

Gem of a lens
This lens is a bad boy of photography. Fast auto focus and excellent bokeh. Images are sharp at all focal lengths with excellent image quality. The lens feels quite heavy though.Amazon delivered me this lens without its own standard packaging. The printed address was pasted on original box and retail price was exposed. Pathetic shipping I must say.
