Artiva USA Micah - 5 Arc Floor Lamp w/Dimmer Switch, 360 Degree Rotatable Shades - Bright & Attractive, Brushed Steel

I am pleased about everything related to this lamp. Shipping was fast, packaging was secure and this heavy lamp arrived unscathed. There are three parts (not including the shades, bulbs and screw in devices used to hold the bulbs) to the lamp itself. Putting the parts together was a breeze with a few trivial exceptions. First, the base is so securely packaged and attached to the shipping carton that it was difficult to remove. This made me giggle so hard that I had to step away for a bit. Think child safe cap on a 50 pound bottle and you'll understand the giggling. Step 1 is securing the base to the first portion of the lamp. The instructions say to use an Allen wrench but really means a regular wrench (provided) rather than a hex wrench. Easy enough to do once I figured that out! Step 2 involves screwing the top half of the lamp onto the assembled base. Have your drill charged and handy because the pre-drilled hole in the top portion didn't align well with the screw hole in the bottom. This possibility was mentioned in the instructions so it wasn't a surprise. Step 3 covered attaching the shades and bulbs to the lamp. The five arms of the lamps swivel, but don't bend. The shades rotate easily to direct the light wherever you'd like. I particularly liked that the shades have vents in them because they allow some light to be cast upwards even if all the shades are focused downwards. Barring the giggle fit and the whole Allen wrench debacle I'd estimate that it took about 10 minutes to assemble it. It is a big heavy lamp, which is what I was looking for to address a dark corner. It will fit I under an 8 ft ceiling, but mine is higher than that and it's just perfect!

Just what the doctor ordered! I bought lamps at Macy’s and Nordstrom and returned them when I saw this here on the amazing Amazon site. Perfect size, quality made, perfect dim light, adjustable five arm system. Perfect for my new MCM decorated family room. Thank you good friends and have a blessed day.

I loved this lamp, it's a good size, it's easy to assemble, you can adjust the light, you can change the bulbs if you don't want yellow light and not to mention the quality, I would definitely buy it again, I recommend it, I give it 10/10.

Dimmer switch quit working after three years.

***Updates are located at the bottom of the review.*** ***Original Review*** My husband and I were looking for a nice lamp to go behind our sectional. We have twin toddlers so we needed something sturdy yet attractive. This lamp is great. It looks nice, is the perfect lamp for a sectional, and has a heavy base so small children can't move it. It's a bit on the expensive side but the quality is great. You really do get what you pay for. ***Update 01/20/2017 - We've now owned this lamp for over two years and never once have we regretted our purchase! We use this lamp for several hours a day and the lights haven't burned out yet. I love the fact that we can adjust the brightness of the lights to suit our needs and it's easy for our twins (now almost four) to turn on as well. This lamp has also been very durable around our twins since they stand on the base, touch it, turn it on, and try to move around the lights. Nothing has broken on it and it's still in excellent condition. If you are looking for a modern, stylish, and durable lamp for your house, I highly recommend this one. It costs more than some other similar lamps but it's been well-worth the investment for us. It's worth it to spend the extra money!

The best Arc Floor Lamp I ever bought!

It arrived on time and in excellent condition. The package was difficult to open, but it did its job of protection well. The lamp went together easily - according to the instructions. I used a ratchet, instead of the supplied wrench, for the base bolt. I was concerned about cross-threading and stripping the bolt, but after spraying with silicone lube, the bolt tightened up fine. The screw hole for the upper section was in the wrong place, but the awl in my Swiss Army Knife came in handy. Make sure you drive that screw in straight! I installed LED bulbs, instead of the incandescent ones supplied by Artiva. The lamp is big, so it matches the scale of our living room, and lights up the room well - providing enough light for my wife to do detailed knitting without any problems. The lamp is slightly too big for our dining room area, but we may put one in there, anyway, since it allows my wife to illuminate the dining room table well enough to cut sewing patterns and work on projects without mistakes due to lack of illumination. We are very happy with this lamp! Update 19Dec2015: Replaced the 40 Watt Led's with these: (6-PACK) 6-Watt Dimmable Daylight White 5000K LOHAS® LED Chandelier Bulb,60-Watt Incandescent Bulb Equivalent,E12 Candelabra Base,550 Lumens LED Light Note that the lamp will support three of these and two of the lower powered ones, but the difference is like - er - night and, you know... Wife can now do detailed knitting work with multiple dark colors at night. This is a great lamp!

I originally purchased this item in July of 2015. I wanted something to go in our home office that would offer some good lighting over a couple tables for working. I searched for the style I wanted, checking reviews etc, and thought I had found the perfect fit. The lamp is on maybe four hours at a time 3 - 4 days a week. It lasted less than a year before it would no longer turn on. I contacted the company and asked to have it replaced under warranty and was basically given the impression that I did something wrong to it. They tried to say there was something wrong with my home circuit but I've had it plugged in to a surge protector the entire time. They made it clear that they would replace it under warranty but that the replacement would not be covered. They sent me just the top half as a replacement and it worked when it first arrived. Slowly one at a time each arm stopped working and sure enough, in less than a year, the replacement has now blown out as well. Dont bother buying this lamp!
