Kensington Slow Feed Hay Bag with Extra-Durable Nylon Straps Designed for Better Digestion, Colic-Free Feeding, 4 Flake, Black Ice

Our horses were wasting too much hay with the metal hay racks. I thought it was our only option given the number of hay bags our warmblood gelding had destroyed. I took a chance on these hay bags and forked out the higher price. These bags are awesome. I have 4 and they are working perfectly. The horses love the more natural position and the hay waste is almost none! Time will tell if our destructive horse will start chewing through.,,,but he hasn’t yet which is amazing because he can destroy a cheap bag in one night.

These hay bags holds at least four large flakes of hay. We have had one bag in each of our four stalls during this winter/spring for our four horses. We can leave for over 24 hours and they still have hay when we return. We think we will be moving them outside during the better weather months until the horses are grazing on our pasture in July. We love the bags.It has been less than a year since I reviewed this feeder and here is an update. All 5 of our feeders have ripped at the seam or the netting. At first I thought it was a bag fault so Kensington sent a new bag. Eventually all bags failed however where my wife sewed the holes the bag did not tear in the same spot. Maybe the side material is too thin and/or the seam is not reinforced enough. These bags are too expensive to replace every six months. We are now buying $15 bags which hold up much better but do not hold as much hay.

These bags are very practical for holding hay and attach well to a rail. My old ones hung from trees, so I had to do things a little different, but these are certainly worth the effort. They appear to be well made and I have hope that they will last a long time. I think for the materials that they are over priced, but even so, I highly recommend them.

I really enjoy using this bag as an everyday feeder.This is my second bag, so now both my horses eat out of these feeders. I use 2 extended clips to help with closing the bags..... it makes it easier to open and close because I try and cram 3 flakes of hay into each feeder.

Bag did not hold up. Used only in stall, lasted 3 months. The netting didn’t hold. Home right in middle of bag.

Ordered two of these and one ripped right away while the other is going strong. The one going strong is easy to use. But mad one already ripped.

Love this net, easy to handle and horse enjoys when I hid treat...buy one for every stalll...
