I wanted bannetons that would be just the right size for sourdough bread bowls. These ain't it for me. I like a hearty bowl of soup, and these are just a tad too small. I think I'll try 6 inch bannetons, if I can find them.But these are still good little baskets for big rolls/very small loaves! I think I'll try them for specialty flavored sourdough...like jalapeño cheddar or cinnamon raisin.
