Does not work.
Tried two USB-C cables that work fine with other devices. Neither cable would work with my iPhone Xs.

Not working
Tried powering an iPhone 7, iPod Touch 6, and an iPad Pro 12.9 (Gen2) with Apple's 18W and 30W USB-C wall adapters - not one of these configurations worked. Also tried a data only connection to a USB-C hub with similar results (hub didn't enumerate).
