Can't get used to the chalky taste

I follow a special diet for a chronic health condition, and I'm always interested in unsweetened, additive-free protein powders that meet my needs. I originally tried this brand of pumpkin seed protein a couple years ago, when it came in a (larger, less expensive) package. I recently reordered it (in the new package) and am enjoying it even more now that I'm more experienced cooking with protein powder.Taste: to me this has a strong flavor but tastes really good—like pumpkin seeds, which I love. Compared to other brands of 100% pumpkin seed powder I've tried, the flavor of this one seems stronger, saltier, nuttier, and more savory. I imagine it's maybe made of the larger, darker variety of pumpkin seed rather than the common light green ones. I think it goes well with a variety of flavors, including chocolate, savory food, and fruit. To me its stronger flavor is part of its appeal, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like pumpkin seeds or aren't used to “healthy-tasting” flours/powders.Versatility: I think this is good for smoothies, in small amounts stirred into drippy nut/seed butter, in simple grain-free baked goods (e.g. zucchini crust or chickpea crackers), added to grain-free protein granola (which I then dehydrate rather than baking), and in homemade no-bake protein bars/bites. I’ve even used it in “protein fluff” although this maybe isn't its best use. I hope to get around to trying it in grain-free porridge and veggie burgers.Color: this is a greenish-brownish dark golden color, NOT light green like other brands of 100% pumpkin seed protein powder. In small amounts it doesn't necessarily overwhelm the color of smoothies or baked goods, but there's definitely the potential for it to turn things a horrible, disgusting color depending on how much you add to what—I've proceeded with care and so far most of my creations haven't looked too gross.Texture: this is slightly particulate—I wouldn't say it's gritty, but nor is it super fine. For baking or other recipes, it mixes easily with liquid without getting lumpy, and doesn't do anything too weird or unexpected texturally. I enjoy the texture in smoothies, which I make in a high-speed blender, but personally I wouldn't want to try stirring/shaking it directly into a beverage to drink.Usability of package: I find this style of bag unusable for protein powder. It's too fussy and messy. I cut the entire zipper off the bag and slowly, carefully transferred it into a good food storage jar. I'm not deducing any stars for this only because the annoyance is a one-time thing for me.Overall experience: I've found Lekithos to have really good customer service when I've called or emailed with product questions or special order requests, including helping me figure out how to get free shipping on a large order. I do find it annoying that the prices seem to have gone up and there aren’t the type of constant promotional deals that reduce the cost of other high-priced brands of protein powder. But I like the Lekithos products enough to order them when they're in my budget. Even though there are other much cheaper 100% organic pumpkin seed protein powders, I like that this one is different (I suspect due to being made from a different kind of pumpkin seeds), and I'll probably keep ordering it occasionally for variety because I like the nutty taste in certain recipes.Note: I review foods and supplements based ONLY on my liking of their taste and culinary properties, and whether they work for me. Not being an expert in nutrition or food safety, I have NO IDEA whether the health, nutrition, and safety claims made on the package are accurate so that doesn't come into my rating!
