I cannot be happier with my choice
After much debate i plumbed for this retro player over the crossley, I cannot be happier with my choice ,the sound is clear ,maybe not for Bass monsters but this could be solved by hooking up extra speakers .The player is surprisingly light but is of good quality.i have had no issues with playing any of my old records and it has been in use constantly since it was delivered .Very happy with this purchase, my neighbors maybe not!

Probably ok as a VERY temporary option for someone starting out...
Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife, but also to use for myself. It's quite attractive, but it's a lightweight plastic shell so might appear cheap to some people. I've heard it being played and the sound is quite good; it's a much richer sound than you'd expect for a budget option.I sent it back because the front switches (which turn it off and on, etc.) were so wobbly that I didn't have any confidence at all that they would withstand any kind of frequent use. The switches should move left and right (3 positions: left, middle, centre) but there was also unwanted vertical movement. They felt like they'd break very, very easily. It's a shame the same cheap plastic/quality extends to the parts that are meant to be used (compared to the casing, that ultimately just needs to look nice).Pros: it looks great, compact size.Cons: cheap lightweight build, wobbly switches, (if what I've read elsewhere from vinyl enthusiasts is true...) the arm/stylus has the potential to ruin your records.Spend a bit more if you can, and get a better player.
