Hydor Professional 600 External Canister Filter, 90-150 gal, 345 GPH

Después de 2 meses de uso, presentó una grieta, no fue golpeado es por eso que le doy 2 estrellas, en cuanto al desempeño no tengo queja, mucha potencia, mucho espacio para medios filtrantes.

I was admittedly impatient waiting for the filter. Slightly annoyed when it came with a type A socket though I ordered to the UK, when I looked back at the order there was no option for socket type although hydor have clearly told me there is that option. I ordered a converter which came promptly.However aside from the initial noise and trip of my house fuse box and a couple more trips when trying again it now does nothing. Will update hopefully this can be resolved and I can put a review of the product after actually being able to use it

Good product,looks sleek super quiet.Was a bit of a pain to get primed the first time and needed a good shaking to get the air out. But great unit

Hi all,don't even consider buying this shiny useless thingDuring the second filter cleaning the sealing ring on the inner cap got broken in my handsWithout it the unit DOESN'T work...I got some sealing tape on the thread, after several attempts got the unit working.Don't know for how long, though...Also, two cracks discovered in the motor body, definitely the unit wont last longGoing to try to return it

I ordered the 600 model (rated for 90-150 gal) but I wanted to use it in my 75 gallon tank that is arguably over-stocked. I bought it to replace an ECCO canister filter after 6+ years of service.So far I've been very pleased! The 600 is surprisinglying quiet (quieter than the much smaller ECCO 2036 I had before) and moves significantly more water volume- using my old canister as. Reference the 600 is probably twice 3x as powerful - it creates a wonderful current.The canister itself has plenty of volume for a no-bypass design and although plenty of media was included, I was able to add 70% of my old media from the Ecco 2036 on top and still close it up fine. The hoses are large diameter and include a spray nozzle or the adjustable diffuser type bars.My only critiques would be that the plastics feel a little cheap (I don't expect an issue but I wouldn't be rough with it either), the instructions could be better, there could be more media included as I crammed mine full and it still flows like the Mississippi- and the included suction cups are not quite stiff enough to hold the larger diameter hoses in place.These issues are minor and really don't make it lose a star because they don't really change how I installed it or use it - and I kind of expect thingsome like the instructions and media volume to be pretty typical in the industry. At the end of the day it's well designed, it flows much better than I expected, and it is significantly cheaper than some of the other units I was comparing to. As long as it holdstands up over time, I am very satisfied with the Hydor.
