I saw the pics of the bent corner, I'm disappointed that my journal looks like that. I like the 85 gsm paper, smooth! Seller needs to figure out how to deliver it to customer undamaged. 😖 I like the larger size. But, can not gift damaged.

I've been writing with fountain pens in notebooks for over twenty years. This is one of the very few notebooks that I would buy again. The paper is smooth, doesn't cause the ink to feather and is pretty good about not showing through on the reverse side. The paper even handles a very fine Spencerian nib sort of okay, and that says a lot. I wish the paper was just a touch thicker, just a touch. Oh, while the paper is a nice bright white it would be nice if they made a version with slightly warmer paper, just for variety.

I write journal entries, notes and even book manuscripts in long-hand, so having good journals is important to me. I decided to try the Quo Vadis Habana Blank Journal in the larger 6 x 9 size and I like it. It feels great and travels easily. It is great looking and time will tell how it wears.

It's paper quality is top notch. The reason why I gave this notebook/journal only good review is because the material of leather cover and overall quality is not on par with $20 price tag. There's made in Italy journals in $40-50 price range that outlasts this notebook by several times. So, with $20 I expected much more quality. Paper does take long time to dry, 3-5 mins depending on ink.

Love the hard cover/binding and the paper is quite smooth and thin (which i like very much). I gave it 3 stars because I purchased several notebooks/journals at the same time and found 2 other papers that i like to write on more-smoother/thiner paper (I'm new to the FP world so decided to try out several different papers). This will make a good journal/diary, it is very pretty, substantive in hand & fits nicely in my purse.

I write in a journal with my fountain pen most evenings. And I've tried most of the popular brands available. I've yet to find one with more fountain-pen friendly paper and a nicer presentation than the Quo Vadis line. I find the 6.24x9.25 size pages perfect for collecting the days thoughts without wasting paper.Do be aware though that fountain pen ink takes a while to dry on this paper. I use a blotter sheet between pages and haven't seen much smearing at all. The few times I've forgotten to blot my pages or to leave the book open for several minutes, I've ended up with smeared pages.

There is something about silky smooth paper, my writing suddenly becomes so fluid and effortless that I find myself writing just that much more because it feels so good. The thickness is just right; not too thin that a sharpie bleeds through and not too thick that it feels like a waste. If you write with a fountain pen, you really appreciate the fine quality of the paper; no bleeding or catching on rough pulp, just smooth, beautifully flowing ink.

I love this notebook. The pages are thick and heavy, not like that thin stuff you find in the Moleskine lines, and the pages open to be nearly flat, again unlike Moleskines. For roughly the same price, this notebook has won me over every other notebook I've tried. It feels like a crime to not write detailed, well-organized notes in it. Now I just have to find one with lined pages...

I bought this as a gift for my brother who collects bound notebooks of all sorts and he loved it. The pages are creamy and high quality. The cover is as described, leathery in texture. The journal came at the date promised by the seller. Great buying experience.
