ExaclairQuo Vadis Habana Lined Journal 6.25x9.25 inches Red

I was really excited to receive this journal after seeing so many good reviews, but it arrived and was a major disappointment. First of all I had found a batch of them at a local store (all new) the morning before they showed up which ALL had their elastic closures completely floppy and non elastic. Not sure what happened to them (it was around 10 of them in different colors). That had me feeling like the elastic wasn't going to last long, but the rest of the journal could be great, right?Finishing was disappointing though fine for the price, but I ended up not liking the paper with my fountain pens (tested on a LAMY 2000 and Montblanc Meisterstuck Mozart). Not super smooth, though they didn't feather and bleed like Moleskine. Rhodia and Leuchtturm blow this notebook away!

The Quo Vadis Habana is my go-to notebook for work. It stays open on its own, is sized to make it easy to use at my desk and to take to meetings. The paper is wonderfully heavy and stands up to gel pens and fountain pens alike.I usually order with a black cover but was thrilled to see that red was available when I ordered this time.

So far it has not bled any of my fountain pens (no feathering of any sort). The pages are awesome, I like the bookmark and rubber band to keep it shut, also love the little pocket folder in the back to keep notes etc. However, my only complaint would be the cover is not very significant in weight. Feels flimsy to me.Color is very vibrant red. Mostly loved the product.
