Comparison with Rabbit Citrus Juicer
This is my second hand-press juicer. First one was Metrokane Rabbit Citrus Juicer. L-Press is definitelly better because:1 it has stronger construction (Rabbit was broken after obe week of use).2. No problem in selecting oranges by size. Rabbit is goid only for small fruits like mineola or mandarin. L-Press is succesful for normal and big orages as well.Satisfied.

flimsy and does not make enough juice per orange

Early failure, awaiting response
I was impressed by the look of the appliance and was persuaded that the high price was an indicator of quality. However within days of light daily use the rack and pinion rod played up and soon after the unit failed completely: the teeth on the rod were stripped clean by the pressure arm. Also the stainless steel cone was poorly finished which meant that a cleaning cloth always snagged on the cone's rim. In addition the manufacturer's packaging was soiled. I have requested repairs from the Metrokane but as yet I haven't had a response. I am quite disappointed as I was keen to give the unit as a gift to my partner. Peter Gerhard.06.05.2015. Metrokane cheerfully replaced the product but the same problems continued and the unit(s) are now in the shed awaiting my decision to either replace the problematic aluminium components with stainless steel (at my cost) or chuck them. either way Metrokane should consider resourcing the item or scratching it off there stock list.

poorly executed
UPDATE 4: do not buy this. product is worthless as it will only last 3 MONTHs. expensive, and customer support just mocks you. feel free to read the review as it goes along.original review, before product broke in 3month:i prefer manual presses over eletric rotating ones just because they are silent.I got this one because it was one of the cheaper but still featured stainless steel on the parts.turn out the gears and housing are all aluminium! and not heat threated! They are as firm as butter.the diameter of the press is off for the navel oranges here in california. the rim of the fruit is mostly untouched.Update 1:durability is extremely low. used mine once or twice a week for some three months and the mechanism started to lock during the end of the movement. i opened it up, one of the gears had moved. easy fix, but it will came back every now and then. The fact that it presses against the cup got me worried at first, thinking that the cup may expand or deform... but it's holding alright. the body and gears gave up way earlier than the cup, which still looks like new.two starts because it's giving up after 3months. an average (3start) would last longerupdate 2: I've contacted the company at the time (March), they asked me to send pics of the damaged parts... and after a few emails they sent me a new one. Same color as the first one, but with bad rust spots on the handle... ugly. Also, it took them more than 6 months to resolve the issue...Update 3: Ok, i've finally was about to take the replacement out of the box and use it... it's in WORSE shape then the original one! the rust that i thought was just cosmetic is really bad inside. and several of the pieces lost their thread in the places they screw in... i tried to remove them for cleaning and they are held in place with copious amount of pipe tape! i can't use this crap. it's going straight to the garbage bin.

Very nice looking juicer
Very nice looking juicer. it feels a little flimsy though, not like the older ones. We'll see if it lasts.

Best juicer ever -- I am hooked!
I have a lemon tree that produces so many lemons I can hardly keep up with getting them off the tree. I used to manually juice them which was tiring and slow. Then I borrowed my neighbor's L-press. Well, I've borrowed it 3 times now because I love it. My six-year -old has learned how to use it -- all I have to do is slice the lemons in half for her and she can juice 20 lemons in no time at all. The juicer is very high quality, easy to clean, the cup holds a lot of juice, and using it is absolutely fool proof. Anyone who doesn't think so isn't using it properly. Sorry, but it's true. Now I'm going to buy my own because I feel guilty borrowing it all the time! Oh, and it's the best deal on the market.

Great for home ... not what I needed
The unit is cheaply made, and literally bows out ward when used. It is very attractive, and does a good job squeezing a lemon, and would be fine in a home bar setting. I use them commercially however, and this thing is slow, has the stainless cup which MUST be used, and the rolling action of the handle is really slow. I don't think it would hold up very long under constant use. My bad however, for purchasing it without trying first. For home use ... great ... for commercial use ... don't waste your money.

don't buy
This is a citrus press, it presses all the pulp into a mashed mass in the bottom of your fruit half. It will not get all the juice out. I tried a dozen lemons on it and was able to take the pressed lemon half and using a bowl reamer get half again as much juice out of the lemon. This is a terrible product, the old-fashioned way is best even if it hurts your hand (bowl reamer). This will not save you any time and will waste 1/3 of your fruit (unless you process the fruit thru a reamer too!). Of course, I lost the $14 I paid for shipping/handling (plus more to ship it back) even after all the research I did. I hope someone learns from this.
