GaltToys Playnest and Gym, Farm

I bought this for my daughter when she was learning to sit up, it was a great way to help her sit without worrying that she would fall back and bump her head. I actually think this would have been useful even when she was younger as it was more engaging than her regular activity arch.The nest also acts like a playpen for younger babies which meant I could get other stuff done safe in the knowledge that my baby was happy but couldn't get out.

I purchased this thinking it was different to the ones advertised at £29.50. The picture shown has 4 arms for the toys to hang from and the seller advertises it comes with 5 toys to hang. This is not the case, so the picture and claim of 5 toys is untrue. The one that actually arrives has 3 arms and only 4 toys. I was told by the seller that this is the newer version and the only version they sell. So why pay £49.99 when you get the exact same toy much cheaper!

It looks great with bright colours and has a number of bits attached to the ring which the child can play with but not remove. It was great to be able to put my daughter in from when she was nearly able to sit up by herself. It's lost interest since she learnt to climb out of it so from that point of view it doesn't last for long but my 2 year old has always loved jumping in it, on it, pretending to sleep in it, putting her teddies to sleep in it etc so we have had good use out of it. The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the poles that go over head used to come undone and flop to the side so often it used to drive me and my husband mad. We stopped using them after a while but the toys that hang off the poles (although quite plain and simple) can be detached and used on other things too. We used them to entertain my youngest while in the buggy as the links are flexible and can be attached to even quite large poles. The fabric is easy to take off the inflatable ring and washes and dries easily in the washing machine. We used a play gym at the same time because we had the space and I would struggle to choose between them if I had to. We also took the ring on holiday abroad because it packed neatly into the case and could keep my daughter contained for short periods. It's also a great store for all the loose toys if you want to tidy quickly. Lobbing the toys into the ring from around the room was always fun!

I'm sure this rarely happens but when i received the product, there was a hole in the play nest fabric, a rather large whole too. And the poles didn't fit through the fabric. I had to phone Amazon to speak to a woman who didn't sound sure what she was doing. After lots of questions from her and continuously repeating myself, she told me that she would inform the warehouse of the problems as I requested another but asked if they would check the batch first. She then told me I may have to wait up to 2 weeks before I receive another.I received an e-mail saying in around 2 days time I would hear something from them. Almost a week later I have heard nothing.The product is very bright and colourful and the toys are lovely and of good quality which is why I've given stars. I am still looking forward to using this product, if I receive it in a decent state... But really it should not have been allowed to leave the factory in that state.I have told them to check their stock as it seems like stitching errors. Hopefully no one else will have this problem.

I wasn't too happy with the Playnest and gym. I have had this since my daughter's birth and she is now 3 months old. I found our Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Bouncer far more useful when she was an infant. She did not find the playnest comfortable even with it slightly deflated as they recommend. I also found the gym to be flimsy. The tubes that you put together frequently need to be tighten up so the gym doesn't fall over. As she has gotten bigger, a Bright Starts Tummy Time Prop Mat and Play Mat and Infantino Pop & Play Activity Gym have been more engaging. I will try it out as she is getting older to see if it becomes more useful when she starts sitting.

This is a great product! My son loves exploring all the different toys, attachments and colourful materials. The product poles have now been re-designed and stay put! :) I would recommend it to anyone and will surely be passing this one around the family as an,,inheritance''for our little relatives, once my son has grown out of it. I got this for my fourth baby, because my previous play gym was past its best having raved three babies well ! I thought this looked great so ordered it and I have to say its the worst baby product I ever purchased - the gym part is dreadful no matter what I do I cannot get it to stay up safely as a result I only use the ring part - a waste of money don't get it

Bought this for my 5 month old. Had to pay $17 duty on delivery. Worth every penny. She can relax inside the ring, with lots on the r ing and hanging from the arms to keep her entertained. Also keeps her contained in one place. Helps with sitting and tummy time, and when she can, will be great for her gross motor skills to climb over.

I was expecting this toy to be just like the rest of my baby's toys...exciting at first and then it's boring. I have a 5-month old and I just started to feed him solid food because he can sit supported. It took me 10 mins to set the toy up (it would been faster if I had a pump!) and I placed my son in the middle with some toys... Lo and behold! he is sitting up on his own! I had to take pictures because he can never hold up like that on the boppy. I changed toys on the pit everytime I put him down from the soft toys to sensory balls and teethers. I also change the toys hanging on the bars so he does not get bored. So far- I'm a happy Mom with this purchase and I am definitely putting it on my "must have" list.Pros:Lightweight- easy to carry from one room to anotherColorful and gets baby excitedMirror on top of the toy also entertainsToys can be changedWashableCons:Probability of the ring to get punctured and I did not find any product registration or where to purchase parts.For the price- I am satisfied.

Es un juguete muy didáctico, aunque el arco que trae es complicado para montar y débil en estructura, ahora entiendo porque en Galt lo fabrican sin el Arco también (siendo más económico), se quita constantemente, con lo cual dejamos sólo el donut y a nuestro hijo le encanta!

I loved the idea of this playnest with a gym but unfortunately the gym part falls apart very easily, it has come crashing down on my baby nearly every time he uses it. I have even taped the poles together to no avail. I bought the the playnest(without the gym) first and he loved so much I bought the playnest with the gym to further his enjoyment but it has only brought frustration. I would not recommend this item , especially given the cost. Now I have two playnests(one with gym that does stay up). Maybe I'll have twins in the future.
