The tripod is light and compact and sturdy enough to hold my Sony A6000 camera and lens. This tripod has two issues that take getting used to, the ball head mount and the twist leg locks. The ball head mount is not as easy to attach as an arca swiss head, but practice makes perfect. ProMaster's slide and lock mechanisms are sturdy once you get the head aligned on the mounting tracks and secured. The leg locks take some getting used to but with practice, I'm sure setting up this tripod can be mastered by anyone.

Great Tripod, lightweight, originally had some trouble with one of the bottom sections extending but loosened up with a little use.

My Promaster tripod has been on many adventures with me but, despite it's low cost and lightweight, it has really proved to be an excellent buy. Better still is the great after-care service you get from this company. I've had to ask them for parts twice now, as I tend to be really hard on my gear and both times they have been really supportive, responded immediately (a real person with real follow-ups - thanks Tarsey). Overall a 5 star experience.

I own 4 other high end tripods and this is the best. My Bogen tripods are too heavy and cumbersome. I use this tripod for most of my needs. It is really nice for back-packing in remote areas. I do a lot of hunting and I use it for my spotting scope. It was the smallest of any high end tripods when folded. Also the customer service I got after I fell and broke it was incredible. I have bought two more for gifts.
