Best looking recessed lights I've found.
Review for 3 Inch Gimbal LED Dimmable Recessed Light with J-Box, 7W (50W Eqv.) 500lm, AirtightPROS:These are the best looking recessed lights I've found. They look very expensive, not plastic looking as other products in this price range. They look better than pictured. I'm very happy with the look.I was worried they wouldn't be bright enough at only 500 lm. I installed 6 units in my kitchen and the light is just bright enough. They should be a bit brighter though, 600-700lm would be better.Very easy to install. The wire quick connects are very cool. They're clear so you can see if your wire is all the way connected. The junction box is nicely designed makes installation a breeze.CONS:There's a minor issue with a design flaw. The springs are mounted on the outside of the housing so the hole must be drilled at 3.5" to make room for the springs. This leaves a lot of play for the slightly under 3" housing and not much contact with the seal as there could be. The springs should be recessed into the housing. The instructions are printed so small I had to used a magnifying glass. The paper was about the size of a playing card. It would cost nothing to print the instructions larger. I don't understand why I see this in products quite often. Didn't need the instructions to install, very easy!

Better than I expected.
I install 6 of these lights in the soffit just in front of our cabinets to add lighting on to the counter top. We have ceiling lights but that light gets blocked off when you're doing something at the counter. I had to drill the holes, 3 1/4 inch hole saw worked good. I tied into I had to improvise a little by adding a plug to the romex cable so I could plug them in at the receptacle for the micro-wave. I drilled access holes to thread the wires through, wired to a dimmer switch under the center of the corner cabinet. Installing the wiring was the hardest part. Once I had the wire in, it was a snap to connect the wires and install the fixtures. This job is probably not recommended if you don't know anything about wiring or are not somewhat handy. We love the lights especially at night we dim them for a nice affect.

Great lights for a reasonable price.
I took out the recessed fluorescent lighting in my daughter's kitchen and replaced it with wood siding and used the Torchstar 3in led can lights. They were easy to install and looked great as well as supplying great light.

Makes a great light bar.
Makes a great statement piece inside the fake beam. We inserted these LED light inside the fake beam. The lights are bright. Use some care in drilling the holes as the total overlap of the flange is only 1/4".

Love these
Just built an enclosed deck… And use these in all of the soffits. They look fantastic! I have nine of them on the same switch and they light up my entire backyard.

Makes for excellent cabinet lighting
We used these recessed gimbal lights inside the kitchen wall cabinets for lighting. They look great, especially with glass shelves. We aren't finished yet, but the protective plastic cover wrap on the surface helped during painting, as you can see some of the paint we accidentally got on the plastic. I'd buy these again.

Classy
The finish on these lamps are beautiful. But, I had to return them. My builder advised me to keep the finish the same on all the recessed lights, and I didn't want to spend the extra money using the nickel finish on all my can lights.

True 3000K color in a micro small form factor
Excellent light source in a small form factor. Easy to install. If you've grown to hate the remodel can clips that are impossible to slide tight, the spring loaded clip is one of those "why didn't they think of this before!" moments. Tight and easily removable!
