Formosa Oolong Loose Leaf Tea 8.82 oz. (250g)

It's better than nothing, but it taste kinda raspy and smells almost like tobaco. Fermosa usually in my experience, has a sweet smell and a savory, smooth, mild bitterness. This is a lot of tea for the price though.

I confess that although I drink a lot of tea I'm not a tea connoisseur. My previous experience with Tung Ting Oolong was with the Tea Springs brand, which I loved - it was light and fragrant. This is darker than what I would consider an oolong, it's almost a black tea, and more importantly it's missing that wonderful fragrance. It mostly smells burnt :(On the plus side, the package looks exactly like in the picture.

This is a very good green tea with a nice creamy finish. I liked it a lot but it does have quite a few stems in it.

This mild tea has a flavor unique to Oolong. When a favorite Oolong was discontinued from the store where I purchased it, I looked for several years for a replacement and found this in a Chinese market. While some people suggest reusing the tea leaves several times, I don't, because I think it looses its unique aromatic flavor.

Taste is not bad, but the tea is not as fragrant as Tung Ting oolong tea should be

I was disappointing in this tea. I guess I just didn't expect such a low grade of formosa Oolong. At first I thought I was seeing silver leaf tips ( a sign of good tea) but it was twigs I was seeing. I will not be ordering this again. I'd have better luck in the supermarket.

I like the packaging. The leaves were not crushed. I use this tea to mix with Young Hyson tea. Have been drinking this combo for more than 50 years.

Good stuff. Nice aroma, texture and a round nutty taste.
