It is a great family entertainment putting this together.

I got this for my mother-in-law who has far more grandchildren and birthdays to remember then she can easily do anymore. I also got it because I wanted to be the one in the family who got her the coolest gift, and I definitely did that with this gift! The only problem if I can call it that is she would NEVER be able to hook the little wire things to get the disks together so I told her I would be happy to help her do it with her. We are both looking forward to getting this project done so she can hang it on the wall and I can gloat a little at my great gift giving! It is the perfect gift.

We usually like to give experiences (dinner, a show, tickets to arboretum or museum, etc) but this went really well with a watercolor picture of the family home. After downsizing to smaller place, the expensive watercolor (etsy!) and frame and this inexpensive family tree variation look great on the wall and are a good reminder of all the people and their experiences in the old family home. Makes the grandparents warm and fuzzy :).
