Middle of the Road Eyepiece
This eyepiece provides great views in my 120mm refractor. It is an F8.3 1000 mm focal length. I am able to easily resolve the trapezium in the Orion Nebulae and split various other double stars. It works great on the moon also. I haven't been able to observe any planets due to weather and time constraints. I also tried this eyepiece in my 80MM F5.0 Short Tube Refractor with a Focal Length of 400mm. The results were not as good. There was a lot of coma at the edges of the eyepiece. I would stick to slower telescopes for 12mm and below in this series. The Orion Expanse or similar 66 degree AFOV eyepieces in 9mm and 20mm seem to perform better on my short tube telescope. The build quality is very good and this is about as much as I want to spend on an eyepiece for a casual hobby. The more expensive eyepieces are just going to allow more image sharpness at the edges and buy you a wider field of view and not necessarily a better view. Some also weigh over a pound too. This eyepiece is a good compromise of performance, price, and weight.

Nice eyepiece
Good optics; enjoyed the view! Sharp focus and good eye relief made it an easy eyepiece to use. The diameter of the lens near the eye is big enough, too. Field of view was true to calculations for this eyepiece and my telescope, but wider would be better. The silver trim sleeve came loose on mine in the first evening of use, but that was probably unusual. I returned it and ordered the 82 degree version. But this 60 degree eyepiece (and another of the 5000 series that I already owned) are good eyepieces!

Good quality and value, especially the high power EP's for planetary/moon viewing
I own two of the higher power versions of this EP, and they give clear, bright, very decent views of the planets and moon. These are the more narrow field of view EP's (FOV), which are ideal for solar system and high power views. I buy the more expensive "wide angle" versions of these EP's (which are totally different, but highly recommended) for viewing clusters, nebulas, and most DSO's. You pay a premium for FOV, which is not needed when doing high magnification views. For lower power views (i.e. 25-32mm and up), these are probably decently priced, but you may want to look into the (least expensive) Televue Plosyl EP's.

Meh
It's been replaced in my collection with a much more expensive piece. Just my opinion, but I don't think for EPs, a middle-of-the-road optics at 60 degrees has any value. Also, I am a fan of the very wide AFOV, like 82 or more.

Gave me closer looks from my expensive but low powered refractor telescope.
I bought a shorter focal length in this lens series and was dismally disappointed with the quality of the lens I received. The 2.4 mm lens was unusable on my ETX-80 Meade Telescope. I honestly believe that was a quality control issue, and I will order another. This 4.5 mm lens is superb. I get crisp well-focused images. The wide angle view keeps the central object visible for far longer than standard lenses. And, I don't have to remove my eyeglasses to enjoy this lens.

Great eye relief, nice FOV and crystal clear image make it a winner.
Great little eyepiece, usually the first one i pop in after ive located what i want to look at like the moon, Jupiter, Saturn etc.. Right now im using it in my infinity 102mm scope.. The huge amount of eye relief, crystal clear image and large FOV make it really popular with my kids and there right, its great not having to mash your eyeball up to the eyepiece to take a look and its super comfortable.comes highly recommended you wont be disappointed.

Game Changer
Iโm an instant fan. The large fov is immediately evident. Background is dark. Stars and DSOโs are clear. I saw things I never had before and in large part thatโs because cruising the sky with 60 degrees gave me a wider swath to notice them. The build quality is exceptional and I now know the difference quality optics can make first hand.

Yes, but...
Good contrast, definition and eye relief. On my 90mm refractor this lens is not wide angled enough to frame the moon. Jupiter's bands, great spot and moons are quite clearly visible, but equatorial adjustment frequent at this width. I am going to try Meade's 5.5 82 degree. Will review as acquired.

Good eyepiece for the money
This 12mm eyepiece is pretty good for the price. Solid performer. Pleased.

Buen producto
La imagen clara....se observan bien los detalles con un buen campo. Saturno se ve genial, por su puesto que tenien que considerar el telescopio que tengan.
