Half Reading Glasses - 2 Pairs Half Rim Metal Frame Glasses Spring Hinge Readers for Men and Women, Black+Gold 2.50

Had cataract surgery a few months ago and needed something to help me see super close up until I could get another pair of progressives. Have since gotten the progressives, but am still using these to look at my phone while drinking my early morning coffee and watching the news on TV at the same time. These are well made and the optics are clear. Each pair comes with a case and I carry one in my purse for reading menus while out. Well worth the money. I would buy them again.

In cataract recovery with several more weeks before I can get my progressives back. I need to be able to see my Apple Watch and iPhone so quick pull-down from top of head works for me. I got the gold and black and am pleased with the quality of the lenses. They are light- weight. I tried several others first that said light- weight but weren’t. Also like that the arms are bendable. I have small head and bent arms in a bit so they would not fall off if I bent my head. Also easy to see over the top. Keep having to remind my self to move to top of head before walking and to move my head for side vision. Very pleased.

Update: I was able to bend the nose wire successfully to get the green glasses to fit better, though it’s a bit lopsided. The wire rims seem more sturdy than I originally thought, yet nice and lightweight on my face. Easy to wear. The yellow pair of glasses seems to be in good shape. But the nose pads on the green one are wonky. It looks like someone has tried to bend them to fit themselves, then returned the item which was then re-sold to me. I don’t know if it’s safe for me to try to bend the wire back again, or if it will end up breaking the wire, which would then make them unreturnable. I’m not sure what to do. These are not expensive glasses, so I did not expect expensive quality, but I did expect them to be in a shape good enough to wear them right out of the box.

These OTC readers are perfect. No wavy distortion. No aggravating halos. Just nice clear vision aids that fit like custom made right out of the box. The half glass shape is 100% perfect for reading or crafting while watching TV. I love these so much I want to get another set to put back JIC.

I had cataracts removed and needed only near sight help but hated the readers with the frame showing on the top. I have worn progressive lenses for 25 years and just couldn’t adjust to the bar across the middle of my vision. Also the frames seem to get wonky quite easily and I am not one to put my glasses up on my head and pull them down when needed..I even tried the librarian cord holders-really drove me nuts. This particular set of 5 glasses with cases and no visible frame is fantastic. I can keep them on all day without no problems. Great price, good magnification, very light weight-forget they are there. The case fits them snugly taking up less room in my bag or on the car visor. How durable they are, only time will tell. I have however put them thru almost a week of my daily madness and so far…Fantastic. Highly recommended….price point is so appreciated and so reasonable.

These are inexpensive but do the job..the color choices are fun! Good readers at a good price

The glasses work well for reading. The reason for 3 stars is that the plastic on the end of the earpiece slides back on the frame. When it does this, it pinches my hair in between the end plastic piece and the metal frame and pulls my hair. It gets quite painful. It’s a shame because I really like the glasses. They allow me to read then look over the top of them and see distance without removing them, like when I’m working on my crafts or cooking a recipe from a cookbook.

Excellent eyeglasses. Have some if these already but going travelling so will take an extra pair along. These are surprisingly robust without being heavy and cumbersome
