Painting Close-Focus Flowers in Watercolor Hardcover – January 1, 2000

I am astonished at how fast I received this wonderful book I!! It is in near perfect condition for a used book, and the price was unbeatable. The only thing negative is that it is a used book and has a very very strong musty odor, like its been buried for 23 years. I have been letting it air out but not sure what else to do to get rid of the offensive odor. I have not tried the techniques in this book yet but very excited to try. Love this artist and how she explains and illustrates her techniques and thought process. Has a unique approach to color mixing and paper selection. This is one of my favorite watercolor books now!

EXCELLENT book. This is perfect for my level of practice and I can't wait to begin watercolors again! So many watercolor books are cheesy and limited in scope. This one can take you beyond your limitations and help you create something really beautiful!! It arrived promptly and is in very good condition.

Ann Pember's use of values in her watercolors create depth and interest. The paints she uses in her palette are easily obtainable and useful. Add a few of your favorite paints and make your paintings pop.

Ann Pember did a fabulous job with this book, the only negative thing I would say is that the cover is misleading. They say step by step, and feature the dahia, which is what I wanted to paint. They don't show details about this particular flower. It's fine, and she had lots of great instructions, but that flower is really why I bought the book. I do love her work.

Love this book by Ann Pember. I wish I could take lessons from this nice lady (I have some of her DVDs also). Her style of painting is colorful and bold, which I like. The book arrived earlier than expected and in fantastic condition.

This is such a beautiful book! Very inspiring to say the least!

I own many many water color painting books, this is one of my favorites. I keep it close at hand when doing this type of painting. :D

I really enjoy this artists style - very good info. I rented it from the library and didn't want to return it, lol. Now I have my own copy hooray!

Beautiful book with lots of great advice on painting close up flowers. Lots of step by step exercises. I am very pleased with it.Also the company I bought the book from were excellent to deal with but I have bought from them lots of times before and they have never let me down yet.
