Vararam 2005-2007 C6 Corvette"Snake Charmer" Cold Air Intake CAI

I haven't installed it yet but craftsmanship is poor. I had to trim down some plastic so it would close around the filter. the screws holding the latches for the filter are long and supported by a 1" dense foam spacer. So the spacer compresses as you close the latch and the screws pull hard, sideways, on the plastic, stretching it and turning it white. Those screws also don't have any washers on them to disperse this force.The product I got does not match the pictures! The shape is slightly different and there is no "water trough" it's just a straight line instead. The retailer here contacted vararam for me and they said that the pictures were old, even though the product I received looks like something you would expect to be an early design (with its flaws and missing advertised "features")The template they give you to cut away a shroud in your car is a HORRIBLE photo copy. It's crooked and floating in the middle of the page. The edges are even blurry so you don't have a hard line to go by when you try to cut it out with.I'm thinking I'll probably return it since I'm not confident it's the new version. Retailer said I could return it but said vararam "isn't happy" so that also put a bad taste in my mouth for vararam as a company. Didn't provide any proof the picture was old, or this "new" product was better, or address my concerns.

For a product you wouldn't think would make a big difference... I'm beating cars that were smoking me constantly... they accused me of hiding something in my car claiming I have a tune. I beat a full bolt on mustang last night over 500 horsepower with just this intake my car makes 400 horsepower.... idk how they did it but I suggest you get this over any other intake if your on the wall. GET THIS ONE!!!

Everything went fine except for the shroud.... the template was way off for me and after 4-6 edits i still wish it fit better. But the only way to clean it up now would be to buy another and do my own cuts....

This is a great cold air intake I have noticed a increase in performance. I highly recommend this cold air intake by Vararam.

It's a nice kit but consider your skills before installing yourself. There's a template to cut radiator shroud. You need this cut precise to get all the "ram Air" without losing air flow through radiator. Computer hooked up to my Vette shows I picked up about 24-25hp. It definitely accelerates faster from 35mph and up!!Drop the hammer to pass at freeway speeds and it really jumps!
