Fits 2000 4 cylinder Honda Accord Lx - 5spd manual
My mechanic diagnosed the problem for me ($200 including the tow). He wanted an hour of labor ($150) to install this. Instead, I handed my teenage son my socket set, and told him to figure it out. After a 5 minute video tutorial on Youtube, he took a "before" picture (to track which spark plug wire went to which hole) , then unplugged the wires, disconnected the wire harness connector, took a 12mm socket, unscrewed 2 bolts and pull out the old one. This new one slid right in after lining up the "teeth" to match the one we removed, looks exactly like the stock part ( auto parts store wanted $465, Amazon - $80) tightened up the 2 12mm bolts, plugged the wire harness connector back in, plugged in the spark plug wires, and fired it up. This took a teenager, who has NO mechanical knowledge, and no interest in cars, less than 20 minutes from the time we opened the box, to the time we watched a video about it, did the repair, put tools away, and washed hands. We saved $150 in labor and $380 in parts. My mechanic should be ashamed. $150 for that??? Sure - I've been in similar situations and it went wrong and cost a lot of time and maybe some money... but this one is super easy (at least on a 4 cyl Honda). Do it yourself. Good luck.OH - I will only add to this update if this part fails in less than 2 years. I think for the money, it should last at least 5, and it looks like good quality (after all, the factory one lasted 20 years and 255k miles) - but I have no reason to suspect we won't get at least another 100k miles out of this one. So if there is no update to this review, we're still going strong. - bought in May of 2021.

For this part being an aftermarket part, it works great and the price is not bad I’ve had it for several months already and not a problem with it.

Ignition distributor for Honda 2002
This was a replacement for one that fell apart in my Honda 2002. My mechanic searched this part for me and said this was the best price. The cost was far cheaper than the auto shops. I’m so happy to have it replaced and my car runs great better..

Stated failing in 8 months
This distributor worked fine for 8 months, THEN.... It started failing intermittently once every week, then every other day and one year later finally was failing every 15 min after I started my car. All troubleshooting lead to a bad distributor. The honda dealer confirmed it. Unfortunately it's a temporary solution, it will fail eventually and can send you on a wild goose chase if your a do it yourselfer.By the way, I sent messages to Mostplus and never got a response.
