Totally Awesome
Just got the 12' Talons on my boat and have had it out twice. Totally awesome...works like a champ. They deploy quickly up and down. Great for launching the boat...no more tying the boat to the dock. Great aid when fishing in the wind. Don't have to stay on the trolling motor all day long. Helps you really fish areas hard without having to maneuver the boat. Would strongly recommend.

I purchased a 2nd Talon in April but did not start to use it till June.After 3 uses it has stopped deploying.Minn Kota customer service is the worst. Don’t be fooled by the 5 year warranty cause the truth is they will dodge and divert any issues.They will tell you to keep cleaning it. If you purchase a Talon you will be cleaning and flushing it often. Tiny grits of sand or dried mud will prevent it from working. The tilt brackets on my boat won’t allow them to fully deploy when tilted due to the design of the boat. Which means I have to take them off constantly. They get scratched and will scuff your boat due to size and weight.3 uses and it won’t deploy the Minn Kota technician told me to clean it. I asked why it is beeping then his response was that something was wrong! Real genius’s thereI filed a claim with BBB since they been sending me on a cleaning spree for a month now. Didn’t the ad say they were built tough?There are known control board and motor issues with these. Surprised no one has filed a class action lawsuit.So my option is to take it back and forth to the next state to get it fixed. Gas is over $5 gallon and a $2,000 item that quits after 3 uses doesn’t sit well with me.I will never purchase another Minn Kota product again! Very poor customer service and faulty products. Never again!

It just stopped working. I had the chance to park it TWICE...then is stopped.
It just doesn't work...manually or remote!

Better to have one that too long than too short.
So far the anchor works like a charm as long as you aren't in water deeper than 12'. I was surprised how often I deployed the anchor only to find that it didn't make contact with the bottom. I'm going to buy a 15' unit to work in tandem and see if that helps. I should have known.
