Calico Designs Nook Modern Desk with Multi Soft-Close Storage Compartments, Black Graphite/Ashwood

I love this desk. The reviews were great and it did not disappoint. I had seen similar desks at nearby stores here in the city I live in but for double the price. I like how the drawers are built and how sturdy it is. It’s also great that you can hide the cables and cords. The only issue was that the box was delivered in bad shape and the desk had been damaged but very slightly and barely noticeable. Other than that I would recommend this desk for your home office.

Think this must be a common thing since someone else wrote about it too. There were two big rips of wood on the back part of the desk. I would have kept it if I could get a partial refund but since they don't do that I had to return the desk. What a shame because I really liked the storage of it. I'm tempted to try and buy another one but worried the same thing will happen.Would love to see this in a dark/walnut color.

I was a little hesitant to buy because of some reviews saying it was delivered with imperfections and or blemishes. This was true for my order as well. They were so minor we decided it wasn’t worth packing it up and sending it back. Another thing I wasn’t super happy about were that the lids, when closed, didn’t line up with the desk. The lids were kind of off center when they were closed. Again, not super noticeable and just wasn’t worth packing it up for. Overall I love the desk! I love how everything can be hidden inside of it! It keeps are kids from getting into things. It’s modern and sleek looking and I just love the look! Overall good buy. Just beware it may come damaged

The main body of the desk comes assembled. You just have to add the legs and supports. Super easy to assemble while watching TV. I love all the storage space. Great but for the price.

This is a great desk with a lot of storage, the entire top basically opens up just split into different compartments. The middle compartment opens and stays open with its hinge once opened. The other great part is that the desk comes assembled you just have to put the bottom metal part together and then attach it to the desk. Really took about ten minutes and I did it alone. Overall really solid value and desk.

I have purchased this desk two times for two different locations. The first one was great. This one, not so much. I waited too long to put it together (we hadn’t even closed on the house when I ordered it) and now it’s too late to return it. We had assembled the leg part and then pulled out the drawer to insert, it was the last step. Both drawers were split along the screws and it was barely holding together. There is no way to fix it. My advice is to open the box when you get it, and not wait until you actually need it. Waste of money for us.

1. 3 of the 4 corners were damaged on the bottom, one corner worse than the others. - 1 star.2. The black, middle door does not soft close. Not a big deal.3. The desk is sturdy for this type of design but still not sturdy enough to safely sit on top of it. I wouldn't try it.4. The desk has holes between the internal compartments which make it easy to run cables.5. The hinges are adjustable. You may need to adjust the hinges to straighten out the doors after shipping. I only had to adjust the black, middle door.6. Great design, part retro, part modern, what's not to love.7. This desk is priced pretty well for the consumer. You won't find a better balance of style, price, and utility imo.

So happy I purchased this desk!!! It is more than I hoped for. Made very well!
