These are great but they are SILK
I've used silk sock liners for years backpacking and hiking. My kiddo is at an outdoor school now so I bought these to wear under wool socks for the winter. Silk is great for keeping feet dry and wicking away sweat and keeping down odors. Some of these reviews are baffling because they are SILK and if you dry silk it will shrink a lot and ruin them. They have to be hang dried and should probably washed in cold. If you don't want to do that maintenance, buy a synthetic sock liner. I'm just super glad these come in her size, serious hiking gear for preschoolers is hard to come by.

Warm not bulky
These were wonderful and saved my kids at skiing lessons during a cold snap with below zero temps. The socks are warm but not bulky.

Great for skiing under wool socks!
My kids have eczema, so this was a perfect barrier for their feet under wool socks while skiing. Great quality and will have these for years to come.

Stay Away! They Shrink to 1/2 The Size
Bought these for my younger daughter. She used them 5 times, washed and dried. They shrunk progressively getting smaller and smaller. After the 5th wash they we're no good. I though it was my imagination as I had an increasingly difficult time positioning them on her feet. I put her liners on, her socks, and tie the shoe laces on her boots to make sure that her feet are comfortable for the 5 plus miles strenuous hikes up hill. To give you an idea of just how much these liners shrunk, my daughter's Merrel's hiking boot size is a size 1. In the end the heel of the liners ended up around the middle of her arch. It turned into a 5 inch liner. See photo below. Normally I would have just tossed these out, but because I paid near $30, I decide to try to send them back. Of course the seller replied they cannot take them back because they've been worn. The rest of my family uses FoxRiver liners bought at REI for 1/2 of the price. They have never shrunk. My advise to potential buyers is don't buy these at all. Go to REI where YOU CAN return them if they don't work out.

Grandson sait they are great under soccer socks which they always give him too big. He was getting blisters. No more

Wish I would have returned
Shrunk almost half the size with a couple of hand washing. For kids with wide, thick feet. Odd cut.
