What are the measured height and diameter of the pot?

Its about 5 inches tall and 7 inches wide.

What does the pot weigh by itself with lid?

The pot with the lid weighs 12.6 oz.

Is this a big enough set for a family of 5?

It's really made for 2 or 3 @ the most. & it really depends on how big ur family of 5 is. Small children around 2yrs-5yrs I would say yes to. Big kids NO... I would look for a bigger set so your family can GROW into it. It will save you money in the long run. Cost up front small compared if you wait cost will be higher due to inflation of the world.

Does anyone use these in their kitchen? is the steel safe and bpa free?

single layer wall and bottom design(hence light) tends to burn food and doesnt spread hear evenly. good for camping not good for kitchen.however, 2 bowls are great for kitchen as they are really durable.
