Fallkniven F1LCoS Fixed 3.81 in Blade Black Handle

I purchased this to replace the F1 I lost in the Ocean. I had my previous F1 for 4 years with no issues, using it for everything from Camping/Wood Crafting to Fishing/Cleaning Game. Laminated COS is a welcome step up from my previous blade, as it means less maintenance when out and about for days on end.While I have had no issues with any of my Fallkniven handles, some have noted that they have and Fallkniven will not replace it for free or have extremely long turn around times. A Couple things to keep in mind when dealing with any reputable knife maker, especially one overseas:- Fallkniven warranty repairs are completed at their factory in Sweden. Shipping and insurance are not cheap and very few Knife companies will pay for shipping BEFORE they can inspect the knife to verify that its faulty material and not use related. That includes many US Manufacturers. You pay to ship it in and if they find it is a Warranty item, they reimburse you (Normally) in one way or another.- Amazon (Sold/Shipped By) Items are Genuine, but that doesn't mean that the manufacturer considers them an "Authorized Dealer". Some times this falls in the grey Area of distributors as they are not manufacturer direct. That should not discourage you from purchasing from Amazon, as they are great, but if you're concerned about warranty work, you should check with the manufacturer to see if Amazon purchased items are covered. If they aren't, you should consider opting for one of the Amazon offered warranties.- International shipping is slow. 1-2 weeks for it to reach the factory. 1-2 weeks before they get around to looking at the knife. 1-2 weeks for repairs. 1-2 Weeks shipping back after repairs. Anyone that thinks that the maker is going to stop production or push their knife to the front of the line, should call and talk to them first.Overall this is a Great quality knife that will last a lifetime if you take care of it. Couldn't be happier with this F1 in COS or any of my Fallkniven products.

Handle feels great, grippy, Knife blade is great.........However handle material rubber split right down the middle. wrote to Faulkniven sent pictures and explained in detail as to what happened. they pretty much to go jump in a lake, said that it was my problem now....just dont use this knife in cold weather. Faulkiven said it would take 85$ usd plus Shipping to and from Faulkniven and 6 to 8 months!
