Werker WKA12-8F 12V 8Ah F1 Compatible Replacement Battery - Battery for Alarm Systems

I bought this battery to replace a battery in a commercial fire alarm system in a public building. The battery arrived without any information about the date of manufacture but had a code printed on top. I called UPS Battery Center to ask for the date of manufacture, which on most batteries, can be determined by the code. I was told by customer service, "Oh, we don't track or provide that information for our batteries." Every other manufacturer I've dealt with previously has some form of dating of their batteries, and at least in my state, it is required information for essential systems like fire alarms. The practice of 'sorry no date on our batteries' makes it possible for them to sell outdated or refurbished batteries as new. Next time I'll just spend a few more bucks and be able to know what I'm paying for.

I don't know what "sheerness" or "Thickness" means but this is a good, reliable battery.

This battery was well packaged and arrived in a few days. Right now it is doing what batteries do. Quality will be determined by its longevity.

This Werker WKA12-8F 12V 8Ah Battery has been installed as a backup to the FIOS Phone-Internet-Cable system. It is functioning apparently as it should. This type of battery generally last about 2 years. So far, so good.

Works great and lasts a long time, I hope. The last one worked for over 7 years.
