Green Bay Sun Sail Shade Canopy Awning for Outdoor Patio Garden 4mx3m Rectangle in Terracotta

Brilliant!
Finally got the sail put up and it's ace! Makes any garden into an outdoor room and we're spending a few days and nights enjoying it. It has already withstood some not so great British weather and has proven to be waterproof as well as sturdy in high winds. These sails need twisting at angles so that the rain runs off them (otherwise, you will end up with a huge amount of water trapped in the middle and can tear them). We love it! This was a replacement for our previous sunsail. It is worth noting that if your shade will be over any windows, less natural sunlight can enter that room (like having curtains drawn during the day). This is why I bought a cream one this time.

Awful
Awful. The shade just sags and when I returned the item I was charged almost £15 for postage. Complete rip off. Avoid.Must note though that I had also ordered the triangle shaped one before they refused to return the other one and that was fine. Definately don't order a rectangle as they don't work and you will be left to fork out the return postage. In hind sight I recommend ordering from and different seller with free returns so you don't get stung like I did if it doesn't work.

Third sail from this company, not as happy this time...
This is the 3rd sun sail I've bought from this company. We (my children) damaged the first two, but we were happy enough to replace with the same ones. They were the sand colour. This time I thought I'd get cream for a change. It's very pale, more so than I expected. Not that it matters much (though in hindsight I do prefer the sand colour). Now my husband as soon as he got hold of it to put it up said he believed this one to be thinner than our two previous sand colour ones. Also, we used our sail all year round, including throughout autumn and winter, in all sorts of bad weather, as a rain shelter outside for my husband when he goes out for a cigarette. The previous two sand ones were brilliant. They offered great cover from the rain leaving a fairly decent dry area underneath. However this cream one isn't as good at sheltering from the rain.... Strange. Exactly the same product (as far as we are aware and made to believe), but less waterproof, and thinner, than the sand colour one we've bought twice before...I don't know. Perhaps the rain is different...or perhaps the sails are lower quality than previously, or perhaps the cream is indeed just thinner than the sand... Either way, I just wish I'd not gone for the cream and stuck with the sand colour as usual. There's nothing I can do about it now as we opened it, and put it up. And I know that the company doesn't claim for the sails to be waterproof, just water resistant. So I can't return based on it not sheltering well enough from the rain, it is a SUN shelter after all.I highly recommend the sand colour one, providing that it's simply a case of the cream being thinner than the sand, if you're looking for a bit of shelter from the rain. But I won't buy the cream one again.

I Was not impressed at first
3.6 x3.6 m Sand colour., I Was not impressed at first the Shade Sails seam down the middle is gathered in places and not been stretched out in the sewing, I had it tensioned using ratchet straps for 3 days and it still sagged and wrinkles in the seam of folds. I've tried everything to overcome this the outside edges are so tight you could play tune on them and still the middle sags, for rain water to collect and run off, I didn’t want to keep checking the weather forecast and take it down every time it rained as one day I may forget. The best solution I found was to use 6mm turnbuckles on each corner ,I mounted 2 point on the Bungalow 4m centres just under the gutter into joists at 2.4 m high, one corner to a 100mm sq wooden fencing post with a concrete spur post lent back away from sail at @5 degs 2.2 m high and last one at 1.5m high to a wall this give a twist in the sail allowing rain to run off and not to puddle in the middle and turn into a pond . With this solution it survived a thunderstorm with no collection of water.Item I purchased to install this Sun Sail 2x stainless 4x 8mm lifting eye wood screws, 2mm 10m stainless wire, 4x 6mm stainless Turnbuckles with hook at both ends, 4x 2mm stainless wire rope grip clamp. 4x 2mm stainless wire rope clamp thimble and 4x 5mm stainless Carabiner Snap hooks. I had trouble sourcing 12.5 sq post as recommended in the fitting instructions supplied so I used a 1x 3m 100mm sq wooden post with a postsaver applied 100mm sq 120cm long concrete spur with 12mm coach bolts to suit, 6x 20kg of post mix cement a small 20 kg of pea gravel , 2x 25mm ratchet straps which in all cost more a lot more than the price of sun sail. It was worth Mrs very happy with sun sail and looks good.

Great product.
Just installed my cream 4m x 4m shade sail from Greenbay and I'm impressed. It arrived earlier than expected and went up easily with no issues. The polyester fabric is light and strong with all the stitching of a good standard. Stainless steel D rings on the corners welded for full strength. It does have a seam in the middle but that's not an issue for me. I used a sail fixing kit which I believe is necessary to achieve the right tension on the sail shade for rain run off. The cream allows plenty of light through and doesn't create a dark area while still shading from the strong sun. I love it!

Good quality. Needs to be pulled tight installed.
We've had lots of compliments on the sail and it's been great blocking the sun out over the summer. Needs to be pulled really tight before being hooked up to ensure water doesn't sit in the middle of it. We used a wooden post on one of the corners to keep it tightly pulled across and provide a decline for the rain to run off. We have used this all summer which is longer than our previous parasol lastes. Additional fittings were purchased to securely fit it
