Instructions to assemble are pictures that do not explain what to do. Once looking up random YouTube video to explain assembly, I got to experience how dim it is. Even with Brightness turned all the way up you can barely make out the projected image in a VERY dark room. I tried projecting this in a dim lit room for a work project... even though the room was so dark it was hard to see other people it was still impossible to see the image. DO NOT BUY. Waste of my money. Yes, I tried moving the box in and out and the scope in and out to find the clarity. It only semi- worked in the no light room.

I’m giving this Smartphone Projector five stars because I really love the simplicity and DIY aspect to this product. Plus, I love how its basic assembly allows young kids to completely grasp the logistics and optics involved in projection-based imaging. When so much of their visual environment is projected from surfaces – televisions, computers, tablets and smartphones – here’s a contraption that offers kids a hands-on demonstration of something that projects images onto surfaces.All the components for projecting images can be examined by your young STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art/design and math) enthusiast. They can remove the stout cardboard projection tube from the main compartment. They can pop out its ¼” thick and 2” diameter convex lens to appreciate its magnification properties. The rubber gaskets that hold the lens assembly in place to the main box demonstrate the effectiveness of proper seals in maintaining form and improving function.The Smartphone Projector is a construction, science, and art lesson all in one. My kids made a movie and a slideshow on an iPhone 6 (recommend at least a 6 due to larger screen) that we viewed using the projector. Although the sound was a little muffled from being in the box, the picture clarity and quality was pretty good for a cardboard box aperture. This product is similar to other DIY kits like a  pinhole camera  and  flipbook . It also reminds me of a high-tech version of the early  ViewMaster  toys, especially the  Super-Show Projector .I think this is a worthwhile investment – for 25 bucks or less - that offers creative fun and scientific exploration all in one cool package.

This projector does not work, it was a waste of money. It was difficult to put together and needed tape, so therefore it cannot be returned. Cardboard is cheap. Projection is blurry and the "focus" dials do not work. My daughter was so disappointed with this gift.

As of now, I can't get it to work so I can even make out a picture. Will keep trying different things to get it to work.

Picture wasn't bright at all. Couldn't see picture on screen at all unless it was pitch black. Then you could barely see it.

If I could give this a neg star...... poor quality, very cheaply made cardboard box. After putting together no matter what we did the picture was blurry, fuzzy, could not even view the details in the picture. The only way it worked was to move it so close to the wall that although we could see the picture - it was not magnified at all. I guess if the only thing you want to do with this is not hold your phone while watching a movie - hey it works.

If you wan't a fun portable novelty smartphone projector. This is the projector for you. Its all cardboard except for the lense. You can get an HD image if you adjust the box focus. It has a cool old-style looking design on the outside made to look like an era projector.The only downside is the biggest(slightly dim) screen size is around 24"inch x 24"inch at a distance of 3.5 feet from a screen or wall. If you have a phone with a brighter screen maybe you can get a bigger picture. Also the lense kinda blurry toward the edges, but that depends on the screen and projector angle ultimately. Besides, its cardboard; powered by your phone :D what can you expect lol! Great fun nick nack, a plus if you have a portable small(plug) speaker. If you want a higher-end one, opt for the plastic one though of similar kind or a powered one.

I like it alot! It's great and the design really blew my mind, I expected it all to be electronic. But upon arrival I did notice it was very more simplistic then what I had thought there was no electronic or electricity needed. Definitely a plus as you don't need to charge it or it won't be uncharged or need batteries. just had to get a brighter screen app on my phone to be able to see the picture better but apart from that it is a great purchase.

Not worth the price I paid, something I could have easily built myself with a shoebox. The quality projected is just okay and it is literally a cardboard box with a lense. Nothing great that is worth 20$ if I am going to be honest here. But hey, the idea of it is cool.

Avevo apprezzato l'idea, la confezione e lo stile retrò, ho deciso quindi di fare un regalo per Natale.Purtroppo al di là dell'estetica, si è rivelato inutile.Nonostante abbia settato lo smartphone con le impostazioni indicate, non si vede nulla ed è una bella scatola di cartone sostanzialmente senza interesse.E' stata pure una brutta figura per il mio regalo di Natale.Come ciliegina sulla torta, ATTENTI AI COSTI DI SPEDIZIONE!Io l'ho pagata in sconto appena meno del costo minimo per averla gratis e mi hanno addebitato 18 € di spedizione.PRATICAMENTE PAGATA IL DOPPIO per qualcosa che neanche funziona.

Absolutely useless product, did not work at all!All you can see is a blur of grey light on the wall and phone kept falling off the sticky pad inside.Do not buy this product unless you want to be disappointed and ripped off!! Gave 1 star as can't do zero stars. Also this is the first time I have done a written review but felt I had to to warn others.
