NICU / Newborn approved (WE LOVE THIS)
My son loves this swaddle and so do I! It’s so comforting for him, it relaxes him within minutes. He’s one of those babies that like to feel held or be held 24/7 this swaddle is a game changer, it’s super warm and light weight. I’ve already had to wash this bad boy quite a few times since he’s been home and it’s still the same quality as when we bought. Super easy to wash and didn’t shrink. Love this swaddle for me it is a bit pricey but honestly I’ll buy 2 more just to see my son sleep through the night.

Cutest softest swaddle
We absolutely love this HALO swaddle in the adorable Winnie the Pooh print! 🐻🍯 The fleece is incredibly soft and cozy—perfect for keeping baby warm during cooler nights. I love that it’s versatile—you can use it with arms in for a snug swaddle or arms out as a great transition sleep sack. It’s well-made, easy to zip, and washes beautifully. Our little one sleeps so soundly in it!

Swaddles great, no concerns. Get one before the baby arrives!
I highly recommend the HALO sleepsack swaddle. Every new parent should have one in newborn size. Get it before he or she arrives, so you save yourself a trip to the store in those first few days! For the 2 days in the hospital and the first night at home, we swaddled our little girl in receiving blankets (tried waffle weave, thin & stretchy, thick & strong types of blankets). Well wrapping her in blankets didn't last long because she got out of them, and with her arms flailing she kept waking herself up. Not to mention, I lost sleep worrying if the suddenly loose blanket would suffocate her. After the 1st night at home, we stopped by Babies R Us and bought 3 different brands of sleep sacks. We ended up trying this Halo Swaddle Sleep sack, and the Summer Infant one (We didn't even try the swaddlepod. Just looked scary, so we returned it). Well the Summer Infant swaddler was really cute. It worked for the first little bit, but when she got *a little* bigger (like a few weeks), the velcro stopped holding. Either she got too big, or after a few times in the wash the velcro became useless. I think it's a combination of both. As for the HALO Swaddle, she has been using it every day and night. My quicktake on the item: SIDS prevention: I have NO concern with this item, no more than any other general concern I feel for my baby all of the time anyway. Yes, sometimes she is able to loosen the tight wrap a bit, and it comes up above her mouth. However...this can happen with any sleepsack or receiving blanket. Plus, if it's coming up a little higher then it is looser. It's not tight over her mouth (as some reviewers have claimed) Our own sleep: Every once in a while, my husband thought he'd wrap her in a receiving blanket...he's incredible at swaddling, but she could get out in 10 minutes. We have never had better sleep than with this product. It is rare that she can get out of it. This is a baby that kicks and flails constantly. Appearance/fabric: The fleece factor is not my favorite. If you have ever owned a fleece jacket, you will know that it attracts every hair, fuzzball, what-have-you in the vicinity. It's also quite warm. Obviously we have AC, but during the hot hot summer we kept her in tshirts + sleepsack. For this reason, I didn't always feel comfortable putting her in her cute footie pajamas. Now that we're hitting fall, i am able to put her in regular pajamas when using the sleepsack Size: She was born 7'2" and 20 inches. The newborn size lasted us till now at 10 weeks. She is currently 10'2" and 22 inches. I am back to order the small size because her feet are about to hit the bottom of the blanket. Quality of velcro: It has been through several washes, and I see no difference in the velcro's ability to hold. Unlike the summerinfant brand. We always try to remember to close the velcro before washing. Other reviews: (1) mention of loops in front - I don't see these 2) claims about losing teeth? - I have no idea how this would happen. The zipper starts at the top and comes down so the pull-tab ends at her feet, so how a baby could cut her teeth on the zipper I don't know. Many pajamas have zippers so I don't know how this is any different.

The Best!
This is the best sleep sack. Our little was in the NICU and her sweet nurse turned me into these. I know all babies are different but my girl would be restless if she wasn't wrapped. This was a lifesaver! 10/10 would recommend!

Sanity Saver
The first one of these that I owned was given to me for my baby shower. When my little one outgrew it, I bought the next size up without hesitation. What a godsend this thing has been! We swaddled our baby in receiving blankets until she was about a month old. The little Houdini always found a way to wriggle out of the swaddle. We'd swaddle her tighter, but I constantly worried if it was too tight. I'd undo the swaddle and redo it again and again. She and I both grew weary of all the fuss. I also read that there's a risk of hip dysplasia when a swaddle is too tight as a result of an adducted leg position. It was all just too much. The SleepSack is so easy! At first we tucked her arms in the wings, but now that she's older we leave her arms outside and snuggly wrap the wings around her body. She loves it. The micro fleece made her sweat during the warmer months, so we bought a cotton one and it worked great too (as an aside, I noticed the cotton SleepSack in the same size was a little smaller than the micro fleece). I will say that when we brought her home from the hospital, putting her in this was not an option. At a little over 6 lbs., she was simply too small even for the newborn size. I think the manufacturer's suggested minimum weight of 6lbs needs to be adjusted higher, perhaps to 7 or even 8 lbs. After a couple weeks, she bulked up and we found ourselves solely using the SleepSack for swaddling. We were able to use the newborn size till she reached 12lbs. In all honesty, she probably could have made the transition to the small a little before she hit 12lbs. Nonetheless, the newborn size fit her till then. One thing I don't like is the noisy Velcro. It's not ideal when your trying to make as little noise as possible for diaper changes and whatnot when your babe is sleeping. My husband and I discovered that swaddling is something of an art form and it has to be done just right for it to be completely safe for the baby. For us, the SleepSack took all the worry and frustration out of the equation. It's super soft, warm, cuddly, and so so easy.

Very hot thick material
I didn’t realize it was fleece when I bought it, but I love the halo swaddles and if it’s winter and you’re in a cold climate I recommend. It is soft and I like the color

Perfect for older infants!
I bought this as a replacement for a smaller size I had from a second-hand store. This wrap is awesome! My son just turned 3 mos, weighs about 15 lbs, and is about 23 inches. He is in size 3-6 mos clothes, and still sleeps so much better when swaddled. The sizing is perfect for an older infant, not too tight, and has room to stretch and kick his legs inside the sack with 2-3 inches to grow. I love that there are multiple ways to wear this with his arms pinned to his sides, or with hands up near his face since he has started to self-soothe by sucking on his hands, or with arms out with the wrap around his middle for those chilly mornings. The upside-down zipper makes for easy nighttime diaper changes so I don't have to take him completely out of the wrap to have access. However, I always have trouble lining up the zipper correctly when initially placing him in the wrap, especially in a room lit only by night light and he is squirming, kicking, and fussing. There has also been a few incidents where the zipper became partially separated while he was wearing it overnight, and I had a bit of trouble getting it to unzip to take him out of the wrap in the morning. He usually just wears a cotton snap-up sleeper underneath and it keeps him the perfect temperature, since I turn down the heat to 67 degrees at night and always worry about keeping him warm enough, but I don't worry with this! He does get a little too warm before bed sometimes if he's fussy, as crying makes him sweaty anyway, but that tends to happen regardless so I usually just turn the ceiling fan on until he cools down a bit. And since I don't have to add a blanket on top at night to keep him warm, I don't worry so much about suffocation from accidentally getting a blanket over his face. The arm wrap secures with two long strips of strong Velcro that, even with his growing strength, he still hasn't managed to break out of. I plan to use this wrap over the winter instead of blankets at night, and like that it can transition with him when he no longer needs swaddled. A word of advice: When washing these, I place it inside a garment bag first (unless you intend to wash it separately) because that super-strong Velcro sticks to other clothing items and can snag or damage them in the wash. A garment bag will protect those cute little baby clothes!

Life saver!
My daughter was born a little over a month ago and they use these in the hospital. They also gave us one to take home and she loved it. She would cry a lot if she wasn't snuggled up in this. We tried to use a blanket, but it wasn't as secure for her and she would still fuss. One just wasn't enough as we had to constantly wash it and then she didn't have it while it was washing, so I decided to buy her another one. She is getting bigger now but still loves it. She mainly just uses this at night, but it helps her sleep through the night. One night, one was dirty and she threw up on the other, so we had to put her to bed without one while they washed. She slept horrible! She constantly woke up and fussed. As soon as they were dry, I put one on her and she fell asleep within a few minutes and slept until it was time for her to have another bottle. These are miracle workers! One of these is not enough, but they are a bit expensive, especially on top of everything else you need for a baby. I recommend putting a few of these on your baby registry so you are prepared! This product is extremely easy to use. The only minor issue is that the velcro is a bit loud and may wake the baby at night during diaper changes. You can get around that when they are born by not undoing the velcro and just unzipping the bottom, but that doesn't work as they get older. The only other issue I have now is that it is getting warmer out and she gets too hot in this. As I stated before, blankets aren't good enough for her partly because I a terrible at wrapping her with them! So while this product is perfect for colder days, it is not so great for warmer weather. You can put them in in and leave their arms out, but my daughter doesn't like that as much.

Helped our baby sleep at night
We bought this because our baby’s startle reflex was pretty severe and waking him up at night. After using a traditional swaddle and he’d break free and wake up, we wanted a different option. This has helped him get long stretches of sleep at night. I’d recommend for someone looking for a snug fit on a swaddle if the traditional swaddle isn’t working for their baby.
