Good Replacement
I chose this bulb for the middle of the road pricing. I was excited to get my Projector working again. The brightness slowly faded until the picture was too dark to tolerate. After countless times trying to adjust the settings and even a call to Sony Tech Support (who never suggested a new lamp), My home theatre is back to normal thanks to an easy fix.It would have been helpful if Sony included replacing the lamp in the troubleshooting section of their owners manual.

Not as Bright as Expected
Lamp is dimmer than the one that it replaced, life seems shorter as well. This may be one of the things where you get what you pay for!

So far a good lamp for the money.
So far so good. I have had terrible luck with the last three lamps purchased from Amazon. I was skeptical of this company. I have had the lamp several months now and use it quite a bit. It is still working like a champ. I will post again if it fails and how long it lasted. So far I'm very pleased.

NOT an OEM replacement. Came DOA, and looked like a Knockoff
Before you read my lengthy review, here's the tl;dr -- The Bulb IS NOT an OEM replacement, even though the product picture shows that. It is a completely different bulb. It also (1) comes in crap packaging, (2) is designed differently than the original bulb, (3) didn't have a lot number, and (4) shot plastic in my face.I ordered an LMP-H200 to replace the lamp in my VPL-VW50 projector. Upon Arrival, the LMP-H200 lamp was actually wrapped in plastic heat sealed shrink wrap, it felt very cheap and felt as if someone had previously opened the original packaging for the lamp, and then reclosed it. Anyways, I figured that because this order was Fulfilled by Amazon, it would be of some semblance of quality.I figured I should remove my projector from my ceiling so I could get to the old lamp to replace it. Without going into too much detail, about half an hour to find the right size of hex-key to remove it from the ceiling mount. Once I had removed it, the old lamp came out no problem, and we were ready for replacement.Once the old lamp was out, I compared the old lamp and the new one. I then realized that the new lamp could not have been an OEM replacement. The old lamp had a coil wrapping around the lighting element, and the newer one did not. It had some sort of connection using some white adhesive.Another thing I noticed is that the lamps looked identical, except for the fact that the old lamp had a lot number on it, and the new one didn't. I don't work in the company that made this bulb, but maybe its because the term 'Quality Assurance' is as foreign as a Whopper to a Tibetan Monk.Another small qualm, in order to help lift the old lamp out, there is a handle that the user would pull on to remove the lamp. There is a little plastic edge that holds the handle down when it isn't in use. On the old lamp, I was able to move it, no problemo, and pull the lamp out. On the new one, when I tried to move the handle upward, the plastic piece broke and decided that its next stop was my face. Luckily, I survived, but come on, you couldn't even get the tolerance right on something that minor?Honorable Mention: Before writing this review publicly, I decided to contact Amazon's customer service. A gentleman named Nitesh K. helped me and my situation with great care. I don't want to bad-mouth Amazon: Amazon has always taken care of me, its the 3rd party sellers that post inaccurate information (whether they meant to or not), and sell sub-par products.

Cheap, but only lasted 18 months.
This bulb was good for about 18 months, then it burned out. It was pretty cheap but that's still too quick as it's a bit of a hassle putting a new bulb in. I'm not buying this one again.

Absolute junk- do not buy!
Upon opening my box I realized this was a 3rd rate knock off. The physical feel, weight and materials were visibly inferior . The reflector was wavy any clearly not of equal quality. It wasn't long until just a few movies it literally exploded . Had to replace with the original which was nearly 7 years old. Immediately ordered original sony! Remember the sour taste of bad quality always outlast the sweetness of a cheap price! Buy quality ! This item was in no way a original or authorized replacement . A cheap bulb in a high quality projector - a bad combination ! Pure garbage!
