I purchased these wipes as we use them for wiping things down, after dipping in Dettol They are very useful and much more efficient than normal kitchen roll

These wipes are soft, thick, and strong even when soaking wet. They are biodegradable which is important. We have used them to clean kitchen surfaces, bathroom porcelain, wooden floors, and to polish shoes and furniture. Not to mention the cleaning up of slobbery Newfoundland dogs. I'm sure we will find a hundred other uses given time. I note that someone else said they are re-usable and while they might be from a durability perspective, I'm not sure about that from an infection control/ hygiene point of view - though you probably would be able to if using as a duster. I'll stick to using once then throwing away.

The only negative thing about these is the price - at £101 / 18 packs, that works out at over £5 a pack,which is a lot more (maybe 2-3x as much?) than I'd pay for paper towels. On the other hand, they are much more durable, largely-lint free, you can wet them and scrub/rub away with the same vigour as a cloth - and all that, and still biodegradable! I wasn't sure whether these should be 4 or 5 stars, but the only reason they'd be 4 stars is due to the cost. But actually, they are a lot better than paper towels, so maybe the cost is justified.

I have tried other paper towels over the years for the countless everyday things that seem to emerge. However, I have to say that these WypAll Wipers for me are the 'gold standard.' In application they were excellent with all manner of spillages, greasy cookers, around the office, around the car and the list goes on. So what is it that makes them better? They are robust, durable and absorbent. In kitchens and bathrooms I used them the once but for other areas the properties of each individual wiper is such that it could be used again. Although, the manufacturer states commercial use -and it is easy to see why due to their effectiveness they are also good for around the home. There are 18 packs of 56 folded wipers in the package which would certainly depending on the size of the company, office or home will keep you going for quite a while. They are an excellent alternative to cloths which invariably require cleaning themselves if you want keep using them. So, all in all I have tested them and found them the manufacturers claim to be absolutely accurate. They are robust, effective versatile wipers suitable for all manner of cleaning tasks.

These are all-purpose disposable wipe-up cloths for use in kitchen, bathroom, or anywhere you might need to clean something or mop up spills. Basically you can use them for any purpose you might previously have used kitchen roll or J-cloths for - but these are robust used wet or dry, and very absorbent, so they combine the best features of each. They're also biodegradable, which is important if you care about impact on the environment. In our house, they've mainly been used in the kitchen, but they're also very useful for use as all-purpose houehold cleaning cloths. I've found they work brilliantly for cleaning mirrors and glass as well as dusting and polishing wooden furniture, are great for use in the shed or garage, and are for mopping up pet accidents. We also use them in the base of plastic trays to grow sprouting seeds on the windowsill - things like alfalfa, beansprouts or mustard and cress - they hold the water so much better than kitchen roll or j-cloths! They're also supposed to be useful for medical applications or for removing makeup - I've not used them for that, but they are handy used damp as disposable flannels when removing things like cosmetic face packs. They come folded into 4 in flat compressed packets, which means they do take a couple of seconds to unfold, but the slight delay is worth it in terms of absorbency when dealing with spills. The product description also says they're Compatible with the Wypall wiper dispenser, if you want to give them a permanent home.

These are the best disposable wipes I have ever used. They are equally good wet or dry and are amazingly absorbant. I use them for all very dirty jobs when I need the strength of a cloth, but don't want to wash one afterwards, especially if the job is very germy, so I can use them and then throw them away. I have used them for; cleaning paw prints off kitchen cupboard doors; wiping out litter trays; cleaning muddy shoes; washing out the dust tank of the vacuum cleaner; wiping floors by hand and many others. They also make brilliant dusters and can be used over and over as the polymer content makes them both soft and durable and they work well with glass cleaner for windows. They may seem expensive, but in my opinion they are worth every penny, I have yet to find a job where they don't excell!

These are soft and come in handy while cleaning.
