A great list of Yes music!

This book has almost all the Yes songs worth learning, unless, of course, you like 90125. The book doesn't include songs from any albums after YesShows. Other than that, it is really thorough, if you don't play bass, drums, lead guitar, or sing backup. A couple years ago I bought a complete Beatles book. I remember being really impressed by the layout. It is written like a score and has every part that is played--not excluding anything. This is what I thought the COMPLETE Yes book would be, but this book has all parts dumbed down so that they can all be played on piano, and as a bassist, this isn't particularly helpful. It does, however, have all the chord changes so it gives one a better understanding of what is going on. Overall, I would say that I don't regret buying this book. It will be helpful in learning Yes songs. The piano bass parts are still very similar to what Squire is playing, and with a half decent ear for music, sounding out the rest should prove simple. It is worth the [the money] to a real Yes fan. WARNING: Don't buy this book if you can't read music. There is no tab.

I am thrilled to have this book. The notation is mostly for the vocal parts, but also includes bass parts, written as left hand piano. There is enough music provided to allow one to work out the parts that Yes recorded. This is not a note for note guitar book. You need to do a lot yourself.

As a singer and keyboardist, I was very pleased to have found a copy of this book at any price. It suited my purposes perfectly, which is to have a record of the lyrics and basic chords. If you're looking for a tablature of the intricate musical contributions of Howe, Wakeman, and Squire, this isn't the book, and wasn't expecting it to be so. I can't speak for the guitar tabs, but the keyboard arrangements are "Reader's Digest" approximations of the originals; it leaves the soloing and embellishing to the reader. As one who is interested in being able to sing and play their classic epics, for example, to my knowledge there's no better starting point out there for sheer coverage of the classic era.

I regret this decision :(

The book was delivered on time and in good condition. No complaints for the vendor. The book itself is pretty disappointing. It leaves out most of the vocal harmonies of YES, leaves out large instrumental segments of songs, even a lot of the chords shown are "basic" - nothing like the complex chords used by YES. It may serve if you just want to have fun strumming and singing alone but won't do much to help serious devotees of the band. We'll still be stuck learning most of the "good stuff" by ear. There were a few bright spots where some of the fast piano passages were actually included, just not enough of them.

This book was really great for just piano and vocals. If you have a band and want to replicate Yes exactly, you'll need a lot more than this book, but it definitely helps. If you play guitar and want to learn Yes, you will have to learn by ear, but this book can surely help you out with the chords. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey (I checked it out from the library).

The Book was Nice BUT it did NOT have TAB for Guitar. (Which is what I thought it was): ( Have not Opened it sence. I guess it was my fault. I should have read about the book more before ordering ( Plus I paid for over Night shipping) Scot

Just what I needed: brill!

La partition était en parfaite condition et m'est parvenue rapidement. Je la recommande aux amateurs inconditionnels de Yes! Mais seulement pour les gens qui sont pianistes et qui lisent facilement la musique. Il y a cependant les accords de guitare.

YESのデビューアルバムから「DRAMA」に至るまでのほぼ全曲（と思われる）のスコアが網羅されています。価格から考えるとこのボリューム（約60曲、約500ページ）は圧巻。残念ながらバンド譜ではなくピアノ譜ですし、省略されている個所もあります。それでも全盛期のYESの曲創りの全貌を伺うことができ、ファンにとっては貴重な資料と言えます。特に「危機」「海洋地形学の物語」「リレイヤー」といったアルバムに収録される難曲（他の者には演奏不可能？）のスコアは興味深いものです。変調、変拍子や独特のメロディとハーモニーなど、イエスミュージックの謎解きを、「バンド人間」でなくとも是非取り組んでみてはいかがでしょう？
