Quality Keyboard
Used the keyboard for a year now, so I think it's time for a review:I used to have a Gigabyte Aivia Osmium keyboard and used it for many years, unfortunately my D key stopped working and I had to go look for another keyboard.Looking through the vast amount of different keyboards all I could find was keyboards that lit up with rainbow, crap products promoted by streamers, and "clicky" keyboards.Somehow, through the vast amount of rainbow, I stumbled across the Cooler Master MK850 (I didn't even know Cooler Master made keyboards...) After looking at the features, I decided it beats the competition and bought it, and I was not disappointed.Pros:x2 USB PassthroughDetachable/Routable Power CordMagnetic Wrist RestMedia ControlsMacro KeysNeutral:Aimpad - I think Aimpad is a neat feature (and it really doesn't affect anything if you leave it off) but the games I tried it with didn't really support it at the time (they might now).Cons:I've been using the keyboard for a year now and I haven't had any complaints. It could be priced cheaper, but it seems competitively priced for the most part as it ranges anywhere from $160 - $120.If you're looking to have a nice, comfortable keyboard that has some bells and whistles, I'd definitely recommend the Cooler Master MK850.

Impressive.
Why the heck did Cooler Master make such a quality keyboard? Honestly, I'm very impressed by the build quality of this thing. I think I'm going to be buying this for other people. The keys are great, good lighting, nice wrist rest, and nice rollers. Would definitely recommend this product.

Oh man...I love this keyboard.
I go through a keyboard 3-4 times a year - it's an addiction. This keyboard might stay on my desk longer than any before it. The keys feel so great to type on. The RGB lighting is great and consistent. The software is powerful and not confusing - it's not bloated. This materials feel very premium, ESPECIALLY for a keyboard market strictly to gamers. The analogue funtionality to me is just a bonus. It works well in most AAA games. For the games that it fully works in, it's amazing and a true innovation - a technology I hope takes off. The volume roller feels amazing and super premium. The media keys are placed in recessed position and are a little hard to reach, but not bad enough to prevent this bad boy from getting 5 stars.

aimpad only works with wasd
I usually play esdf because I type with standard hand position(left asdf right jkl;). but this keyboard m2-m4 overwrites my in-game key bindings which is really weird. But overall quality keyboard.

amazing keyboard!
great feel and quality. a bit pricey but its Cool Masters flagship keyboard with some great features. The Aimpad takes a bit to get used to but works good. the wrist rest is very good quality and comfortable.

If it doesn't work - what's the point?
As of right now, the only posts on the CoolerMaster forum for the AimPad portion of this device - are that it doesn't work with any of their games. I've tried multiple games myself (all on the list of supported games) and they don't work at all.Additionally, I have the mouse plugged into the USB of the keyboard - and it keeps cycling through as if it had been disconnected and needs to reconnect.I was led to believe that this device would be plug-and-play but at this point it seems it is plug-and-pray. I'll update this review if I ever get this working.Oh, and a final note - when this was shipped to me the didn't package it in anything more than the retail box - so the box itself was totally beat up. Not cool.EDIT:So the good folks at AimPad actually reached out to me and helped me fix the problem with the AimPad portion of this keyboard - it actually requires some funky keyboard combination to setup the first time. That being said - I've had this keyboard for just 2 years now and for the first time ever - I've had keys on a keyboard actually break on me. Not just 1 or 2, but all of the WASD keys and the Tab key have all broken (see pic for details). This is garbage quality on a keyboard like this - I have a physical keyboard from the 90's that still has all of its keys in full working order (I'm not a heavy typer).

Excellent KB. Superb Build Quality. Analog is the Future for KB's!
This is the Keyboard I've been waiting what feels like an eternity for. I have wanted analog input on a keyboard for as long as I can remember and it's finally here! Was it worth the wait? Absolutely. This thing is worth the money even without the analog input. The build quality is INCREDIBLE. It's beautiful. It WORKS. The software for the KB isn't even required to fully utilize the damn thing! Unlike many others that require bloated software, the 850 works with or without the MasterPlus Software right from when the it receives power, thanks to its onboard memory and CPU, meaning that it's one less thing your computer needs to manage. That being said, the software is pretty good. You'll only want to use it to maybe make macros or custom lighting configs as it's a little more straight forward versus doing it solely on the keyboard itself, but once it's all loaded into the board and you exit the software, it's gone. It doesn't need to keep running, ever. Even for multiple profiles, all containing custom lighting configs and macros and key mappings and whatever else. It's all on the KB ready to go.As for the analog? It's not perfect, but this is in no way the keyboards fault. Games just aren't made with the expectation that you'll be using analog and digital inputs at the same time, and since the analog is recognized as if it was an Xbox controller, it can confuse some games. Some will stutter as the input is "changed" from KB to gamepad, some will constantly change the UI to show KB and gamepad inputs depending on what was last pressed, and others seem to work flawlessly regardless.Thankfully, you can check the Aimpad website for general compatibility, but I'm happy to say that most games work perfectly fine, with exception of the UI inputs changing, but it's not much of an issue and some games can be modded or set to stick to one or the other. There's plenty of customization for the analog inputs in terms of sensitivity and compatibility with how individual games support gamepads and analog input so there's almost always a way to make it work.I've got to say, driving in games like GTA V or sneaking around slowly in FPS games without having to swap to a controller is a godsend. I can't go back.My one and only issue with the 850 is that when Aimpad/Analog input is enabled, it currently lights up the 8 analog keys white and is not configurable at the moment. Nor is the color of the current profile selected key, or the "lock" keys, they are all lit white when enabled. I've been told this is a much requested change and should be coming in the future, hopefully that future is soon as it's the only negative I have with an otherwise stellar keyboard.

Was ok when it worked.
Nice keyboard and cool features but experience soured by poor build quality. Failed after just over a month but Amazon refunded so not a total loss. I have other CM products and they do seem to have build quality issues across the board with noisy fans on an AIO Cooler and headsets that fall apart etc. For the cost of this keyboard I would have expected a much better overall experience.

Keys get stuck or presses are not registered pretty frequently
This keyboard has the looks, but is severely lacking in quality given the price tag. The keys will frequently just not register when you press them or get stuck and keep repeating the typed character. Very frustrating to use for regular typing.Update: I ended up returning the product and got a new one that has been working fine for almost 2 months. Very easy return and replacement.
