Great sound quality for little money
The difference between this mic and the built in mic in my camera is like night and day. I was toying with going for the rode mic for an extra £20 but thought I'd try this and I was not disappointed!

Wow, seriously shocked at how great this is for the money. It's excellent for dslr's & recording acoustic instruments. Definitely worth the money & works well for most semi-pro projects. Noiiccee

Mounts too ridged, but works ok
The so called shock mount is too ridged for use in any situation where there is vibration, but the microphone works ok and will be an improvement over most camera built in mics.

Terrible wire, good product
The media could not be loaded. The wires included in the box are absolutely dreadful, listen to the attached video for a demonstration. This isn't an issue if you have a spare 3.5 to 3.5mm aux cord lying around, luckily I did. Using my own wire it was infinitely better. The microphone as a whole is very clear, picks up exactly what you need it to.Shame about the included mic wire though, would have brought it up to 5 stars

Realmente ayuda mucho para la grabación de audio, sobre todo en ambiente al aire libre. Es una excelente opción dentro del rango, cuenta con dos cables: TRS a TRS para videocámara y cámaras y TRS a TRRS para iPad y Smartphone.

It works perfect.
I bought it for my Canon G7X MarkII. Although cannot be used directly with the provided cable, just take an adapter and will do the job 100% (be aware that not all the adaptors work; mine broke and still looking for a replacement...). It also works with phones; you can plug the jack directly into older phones or PC, or the jack to USB-C from any newer phone without hustles.
