Webster's New World Spanish Dictionary

Just received it appears to be a good dictionary. Granddaughter is in Spanish 1 and just beginning. Her and and her friends are babbling Spanish since last August. Seems to be excited. I will rate again when she uses it for a while. This dictionary maybe 5 rating.

I wanted to learn spanish. This book has helped out alot. I would recommend this book to anyone. I have accomplished so much already, and I have had the book only 2 weeks. The day I ordered the book, it did not take long at all to receive the book in the mail. The service was very prompt and very good priced. I will be speaking in spanish alot more now with the help from my spanish book.

I bought three dictionaries before leaving to serve with the Peace Corps in Honduras, and this was the one I carried. This dictionary has many words that aren't in other travel dictionaries, yet remains small in size. The only other dictionary I've used that is close was the Oxford "Pocket" dictionary (ISBN 0199560773), but the Oxford one is much larger and made of heavier paper.Only downsides: unlike other dictionaries, this one has no tabs or markings on the outside of the pages to help locate words more quickly.

As does English, the Spanish language continues to evolve. This little gem captures clearly the nuances of present everyday usage.

I love this Dictionary,I have used it numerous times already and it has helped me immensely. I think you will not be disappointed. Try it.

I've been recommending the Concise Spanish Dictionary,Second Edition to my students. Tried the Spanish Dictionary and does not compare to the Concise. Yes, it's more compact but does not have the same number of entries, the binding is of lesser quality, smaller print (harder to read) and more expensive. I was expecting a more up-to-date version of the Concise but it wasn't.

I realize that the psychiatric association destroyed literacy standards and reading class, but oh my. This book isn't worth the paper its printed on.

Very good, with a lot of special usages provided for words. Efficient in size because there are virtually no borders on the pages.
