Once Upon A Time: Seafaring Tales

I work as a trauma therapist, and I use these cards with clients to help discuss difficult topics and to assess levels of hope and level of self-efficacy. It also helps develop problem-solving skills and expand one's idea of choice and options. Great to use at home with kids for the same reasons, without them ever even knowing they are learning new skills. Increases creativity. The freedom of the game allows for any type of mood to develop, so stories can be funny or serious, or both, and you can't purposely avoid an emotion that randomly comes up. I love that there are also heroic female endings included.I bought all the sets, and use them all. I also use the kindle book that helps you to write stories, as it suggests some standard plot twists to get people started being creative.

This expansion is a good add on to the original game, it puts in general "seafaring" cards with things like pirates, mermaids and other sea and sailing related bits. The full game itself can be a little complicated to get into, I had to read the rules a few times, but then very fun and interesting. This game will very a lot depending on the group of people you're playing with. I could see playing with young children or people who aren't particularly good story tellers to begin with might become tedious. The stories can go different directions every time and so unlike other games you really can't hear the same story twice unless you're really trying to. Some games can last 5 minutes, others more than an hour.

Really awesome addition to Once Upon A Time. I've played the standard version a few times with different friends and the stories are amazing. My review my be a little biased because I enjoy the game so much already, but it is a nice expansion... We got to play with a few of the ships and additions and I couldn't really tell the difference because there are so many cards. But the price was right for such a nice amount of extra story parts and endings!

I must have gotten a previous version a year or two ago. Never saw this one. I purchased this version to add to my original Once Upon A Time. What a failure. I noticed the style was different, but hoped the back of the cards would be consistent. Nope. Looks kinda lame playing them together. I was bummed. But ultimately it's a great game.P.S. I like the other card style better than this one.

Awesome addition to a really fun game. This game is a lot of family fun. Now our heroes can be attacked by pirates and sea monsters!! :)

This expansion blends seamlessly with the base deck. I like it.
