NECA Dawn of The Planet of The Apes 7" Scale Action Figure - Series 2 Luca

stunning figure, looks like he came right out the film like the others. I would have to say out of the series Luca is my favorite, just the over look of him is amazing. Really captures the look of a silver back gorilla. neca has done an amazing job... Hope to see more ape figures(:

I am a Huge Apes fan, love the old series and the new as well, am very pleased to see NECA had made figures for this movie franchise. This Luca was fantasticly made, the paint job is beautiful, the sculpt looks very realistic, captures the features of a Gorilla perfectly, Articulation is good but one problem I have found with this figure specifically is the leg support isn't that great on my figure, it's very hard for me to get Luca to stand, but overall love it, big fan of Apes, my favorite animal is the Gorilla and I must say it looks very accurate. Good job NECA!

For the price, I'd expect the hands and head to stay on better than they did.

The only true new figure in Series 2 of Neca's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes series, Luca is by far the best. The details on both heads are fantastic with both sets of eyes looking almost life like, and the teeth having the black in the groves to give it a more worn look. The head is on a ball joint, so all you need to do is just pop it off and replace it with the other head. Not a problem at all. Currently, I haven't been able to get my Luca to look straight ahead like the picture shows. He looks up, kind of like he's sticking his nose in a high and mighty fashion if he's leaned back on two legs. He can look further up though, so having him posed on all fours, he can look straight ahead better.Articulation wise, he has all your normal joints: Neck, Shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees, and ankles. His elbows aren't as hindered Caesar and Koba's. They have to much hair detail coming down over the joint and you can barely do anything with them.Luca doesn't come with any weapons or extra hands like the others, but he does have that extra angry face that makes up for it. If you find him in stores at $18 or online for that price, get him. He's worth the price for being a big hunk of plastic muscle.I wish he had more screen time in the movie, but maybe next time.
