Leviton 1-Gang Decora Plus Screwless Wall Plate, 80301-SW, White

I’ve always been a fan of Leviton products. They’re durable, functional, and easy to install. This cover fits perfectly with its matching outlet and even aligns well with outlets from other brands. The included screws were high quality, and I especially love the clean, modern look of the screwless design. It adds a sleek finish to any space. It's also very easy to remove if you ever need to replace it.

The fit and finish and final look of this product is outstanding. I'm handier than the average Joe but this installation required little to no advanced knowledge - hints help a lot. I believe the reason for negative reviews are because they did not have these tips (provided below). I've now installed several 1-gang, 2-gang and 3 gang. And they look really great and install easily. Warning - after installing one of these, you will probably want to install these on all your switches as I did. They are slightly oversized which I appreciate - not too bulky but just large enough to cover any painting flaws from previous switch plates. With any of these, the trick is to first screw in the tiny screws that attach the base-frame-plate to the actual switches themselves, BUT to do this, you should loosen the main screws holding the actual switch(s) to the box. Loosen those existing switch screws so they remain attached to the box but protrude about an eight or quarter inch off the box (in order to be able to thread the small screw onto the switch - I promise, the product is so well architected that you simply tighten those existing screws later through the base frame holes). Simply align the rectangular switch cutouts of the base-frame over the existing switch(s) and tighten the small screws to the switches, until snug. BEFORE attaching the outer cover plate, go back to each switch screw, and through the base-frame holes, tighten those switch screws, working your way out from the middle to the outer screws tightening the switch screws until the base-frame conforms perfectly to your wall (mine even conformed to a defective wall). Don't over-tighten where they are pushing on the wall but tight enough so the edges of the frame are barely touching the wall. After the base-frame appears level and snug to your wall, snap on the outer frame pressing firmly around the perimeter and hear it snap into place. The finished look is square and a little on the modern side but I can see these going with any decor. I've installed about a dozen so far without a single hitch.

I got this to cover my new ‘ Lutron Maestro Lightswitch Sensor with Switch MS-OPS2’ which did not come with a cover. I got this one because it does not have any visible screws. This wall plate installs easily in two pieces. The base screws on, then the egg plate snaps in. It’s perfect. Looks good.

Very modern look and easy to install

These are the great wallplate covers (look-wise). They seem so modern. They are made of plastic, of course, but are pretty durable. The only issue I had with these is that my home doesn't have straight walls, and some boxes are in the wall a bit more than they should be. Unfortunately that means the screw backplate would not fit unless I got spacers, so in the majority of my home, I had to get spacers. If you don't space and ensure top and bottom are even, it will look ugly. Besides that, if you space properly (if needed), then these come out great. Ensure you purchase compatible outlets and switches, or else you will not be able to use this.

Plates fit perfectly as expected. I love the quality of Leviton plates and the hidden screws. Highly recommend both the brand and these plates.

We decided to replace the wallplates on just about every outlet and lightswitch in our large home. All of the old wallplates had screws that looked dated, cheap, and ugly. At the same time we got rid of contractor grade oval outlets and put in Levitron Decora (rectangle outlets), Levitron T5325-W outlets. We had over 30 wallplates to replace. I bought a few Levitrons, a Lutron, and a 10 pack of Bestten Wall Plates. I was curious of the considerably cheaper Bestten would compare to the mid prices Levitron vs. the even more expensive Lutron. Levitron was the clear winner of my comparison. The Lutron is solid and well build but it has a gap where the front plate that you see attaches to the back plate that attaches to the outlet or switch. This gap runs on all sides. It is wider that a dime (see photo) this gap can collect dust and breaks up the clean lines of the screwless plate. For this reason I do not reccomend the Lutron. The Lutron is slightly larger that the Levitron, and this could be helpful to cover any paint scratches or if you have a prior paint color around your switch because the painter did not remove the switchcovers before painting. The Levitron is easier to install than the Bestten because the screws are alredy in the rear plate instead of loose in a clear plastic shrink-wrap. If you are using Levitron switches and outlets the wallplate will be an extact match for outlet or switch. If you put a Bestten wallplate around a Levitron switch the Bestten is slightly glossier, and slightly cooler in color but the difference is pretty subtle. Bestten wallplates come in two sizes with the smaller one useful where you have a very tight space and the larger for covering up paint issues. If size is not an issue, the small additional cost to put in Levitron switches, outletes, and plates is money well spent.

Easy to install, look good. Installed with both Kasa WiFi Smart Switch and Leviton dumb switch, my only wish is that they were a bit larger, covering more surrounding area of the switch like Kasa's (included) plate. That said, this one fit the bill perfectly for an odd switch I have that was on a tighter space and wouldn't fit the larger Kasavsmart switch plate.
