The little spruce tree is an Alberta-type selection that bears the name of dwarf conifer pioneer Jean Iseli fro Iseli nursery. It was named by his brother, Andre'. Jean's Dilly Christmas Tree is smaller, denser, and slower growing than other Alberta types. It has short, fine needles. They have a distinctive twist during the growing season. You can expect spring growth the start about 3 to 4 weeks later than Conica's. To decorate your tree, consider purchasing Mini Light Bulb Garland, Star Tree Topper, or Twinkle Lights. Beautiful but TINY "TREE!"
It arrived three days before the earliest projected delivery date, but was smaller than stated in the ad. The "tree" sent to me was in a 4.0" pot, not 4.5" as stated, and it is less than 14" tall INCLUDING THE POT! It was delivered in a box that fit inside my mailbox and didn't even fill the box. It is a "tree" only in the same sense as a Bonsai is a tree. If it were 14" tall from the soil line, then it might be worth the price.

This tree is a lot smaller than I expected. I guess I didn’t read the full description but it’s definitely not what I wanted.

Perfect for container gardening!
I used this product in a window box to provide greenery year round. The tree arrived quickly and was exactly as described. As a matter of fact, I ordered two more once I received the first, because it was perfectly shaped and o healthy. It has adapted well to its western exposure. These trees are perfect for container gardening.
