Sweet Upgrade!
We are very happy with this pool so far. We previously owned the 12x24 for several years, but just installed this 16x32. Wow, this thing is huge! I have been a fan of these pools since our first one, and this is no exception. The hardest part about putting it together what handling the single 636 pound box it came in. Because the driver could not back down my driveway, we unloaded it into the bed of my pickup truck. I then unboxed it right there from the truck and it worked out fine. Because this pool is large and needs both a really flat and level area, and has substantial weight on the legs, we chose to have a local concrete company poor a 18" wide perimeter of concrete around where the pool would be. We then filled it with mortar sand and topped with a Gorilla cover. The end result is that the pool is 100% completely level and very secure. I modified our deck and installed a Vevor dock ladder for access to the pool, everything purchased from Amazon. I did not ding Intex any stars over this, because I knew going in their included ladder and skimmer were no good, but the ladder is really only appropriate for kids and very small adults. It is not stable or strong enough for bigger adults, and the skimmer is completely useless. I installed a Hayward-style skimmer through the liner wall, and these work great. My only suggestion for Intex is the same one I made years ago, and they seem stuck in their ways: Include a real skimmer in the pool kit and increase the pump power. It seems every pump is slightly under-powered for the pool side. The 12x24 pump is great for the 9x12 pool, the 16x32 pump for the 12x24, etc, but the ones they include are under-powered for the pool size. I don't expect them to last forever, and when the Intex pump goes out in a couple years, I will replace with a larger model, probably from Vevor. Overall, Intex does a good job of providing a very good pool, for a fair price, at the expense of not quite enough power or usable accessories. If you know this going it, and your expectations are maybe slightly lower, you will be very happy with this pool. In short, it is a very good value. Be prepared to install a real skimmer, have a good way to get in and out of the pool without using the stock ladder, and plan to upgrade the pump in a year or two. Make sure your land is very flat and prepared for the pool. I assembled the hole pool myself in about an hour and only needed help from the wife when standing up the walls before filling. It took 28 hours to fill the 14,300 gallons from 2 garden hoses.

Impressive pool - great value
I bought this pool in April 2020. It lasted us through 6 seasons of Florida hot weather. We just took it down last month. I am very impressed with the quality and strength of the liner. I cannot believe that it lasted this long especially given that it was in full sun the entire time. We kept the pool running year long by keeping up with the cleaning and running the pump and the chlorinator, but reducing the time. The main things that required changing over time, were the hoses, the skimmer, and the titanium electrode in the chlorinator (if you get the pool and pump combo like we did). We ended up upgrading our stairs to something bigger, but that was just a preference. Looking back now, I prefer the stairs that came with the pool since they are much easier to maintain and do not collect algae since they can be accesses easily to be cleaned. I highly recommend putting pavers under the U-shaped legs when installing the pool. We got the large 18 inch paver squares and put one under each leg. It helped tremendously prevent any rusting of the legs. In addition is helps the legs from sinking into the ground. The legs have a lot of pressure when pool is filled so the pavers kept them level and stable. I also kept the pump and chlorinator covered the entire time to protect from the elements and mostly the heat. I put a folding table over it and put a cover on the table. This was a make-shift shelter but it helped keep it covered and at the same time it gave me easy access to the pump and chlorinator. I used the top of the table to store some our floats and other pool items. So I do recommend finding some type of cover to put over the pump to protect it. Lastly I do recommend investing in a robotic type pool cleaner. I tried the manual vacuum that came with the pool and it worked fine, but it takes a while to clean the entire pool that way and it was not easy to reach all spots.

Great pool!
Great pool! Hoping that it lasts us a long time! The seller was even better! Had an issue with the motor and they were on top of it and easy to deal with! Wrote them a message and they quickly responded and sent a new motor no questions asked!

Rickety Ladder
Pool seems good enough, decently easy enough setup but for nearly $2k it came with the most rickety ladder I've ever seen. It's not sturdy at all and the soft plastic on the platform is so thin that you can feel the ridges under your feet. It's weirdly narrow as well. Even the kids have issues with it.

This 3rd party vendor sucks.
This pool came from a 3rd party vendor Spreetail. The 600lb box arrived on a pallet and half the box was severely damaged, smashed & torn. It was wrapped in shrink wrap holding it together. I would never spend over $2000 and choose a box that was this severely damaged, so why they chose to ship it out like this is just crazy. I called to get a replacement and was told it wouldn't be sent out until they received the damaged one. They set up a pick up date June 17. I waited all day and nobody showed up. I call and spreetail tells me I need to call the trucking company and set up a new pick up date. R&L trucking says oh we didn't have time and rolled the pick up to the following day. This went on for a week of no showing up. I called spreetail because its not right that I spent over $2000 and if they cant get their people to pick up their damaged item I should not have to wait for a replacement when they already have my money. They finally shipped me a replacement and pick up the damaged one. I set everything up as the directions say. I spend $100 on sand for the filter, I try to start the pump and there is absolutely no power. I trouble shoot everything and still no power. I call spreetail and am told that they need to get an approval to send a replacement and it could be 2-3 days.๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ meanwhile I have over 14 thousand gallons of water sitting unable to circulate while I wait for who knows how long to get a replacement hopefully before the water starts to grow algae. Its just been an annoying process purchasing such a huge item from this company and I have wasted alot of money because of all this

Great, love it, easy to set up
OK so it took a LONG TIME to prep the ground but the pool itself went up in less than an hour with two adults and two little kids assisting by unpacking and handing out the parts. It feels small if you go too crazy with the pool floaties, but with five people using just pool noodles it feels spacious and plenty of room. A couple points that are not super obvious, but might help you: 1) Site prep: Get the ground level. Dig down, don't build up. You need an extra foot or two outside the 12 x 24 dimensions for the legs. We did a lot of research and put down 1.5 inch foam insulation board over the ground for a nice, even surface underfoot, as well as insulation from the cold NH ground. We then put 4 inch think pavers for each of the legs, digging down to make the tops level with the foam board. (Full disclusure, we originally used 1.5 inch think pavers, which cracked after 10 days and caused one of the legs to crumple and required draining the pool and re-setting the new pavers. Ouch. Other people recommend composite wood and other things for leg supports, so do your own research, but be aware.) Trouble Free Pools has a GREAT forum for help and tips. 2) Heating. We got a $45 solar blanket which warmed up the water pretty well, then added one of those solar mat heater thingies that hooks into the pump system, which really does a surprisingly good job of heating the water. After a stretch of about 5 sunny days the water went from 55 (when filling it) to 85. I sprang for the Intex solar blanket reel to make it easier to work with. 3) Filter and chemicals. You need about 150 pounds of filter sand, 210 pounds of pool salt, and 1 pound of cyanuric acid to start. Also pool test strips. You may need other stuff as you go along but that's enough to get started. You need to put the salt in, spread it around and run just the filter for 24 hours to mix it up, then run the filter + chlorinator for the prescribed amount of time, continuing to do that every day all season. Check your manual for the time, but ours is about 7-8 hours a day. 4) Ladder. The ladder works but it is wobbly and not great for grandma. Pain in the neck to get in and out. Hubs is building a small deck with normal stairs up and a deck to pool ladder to get in. Recommend adding a more stable, locking ladder. Also recommend adding a foot bath to the bottom of the stairs to keep the debris out of the pool. 5) Filter. Works great for us so far. The vacuum does not appear to be working very well, so we may buy a new vacuum if messing around with this one doesn't give better results. That's all for now - enjoy!

Worth it
This is a five star product for a couple reasons. Let's just get out the way now that this pool does require work and some education about balancing your water. If you are ready and serious about taking care of your own pool I do recommend Intex saltwater system for sure. I've had this pool 2 years now, this is my second summer and I put it up last year and left it up the whole time, I plan on continuing to leave it up. I will not be taking in down and storing it for winter. I also did not winterize it properly last year due to the pump telling me "low flow" and I got frustrated and said I will deal with it next year. Well this summer we cleaned all the dirty water out, scrubbed the bottom with the brush they give you and filled her up again once she was clean. I had also made sure to clean my lines, disconnected them all, rinsed them out, changed the sand to new sand and then hooked everything back up. I no longer have low flow issues. I struggled with getting the right salt ratio the pump told me high salt and would not chlorinate the pool. It started turning green and I got frustrated again. I recommend you keep some chlorine packs on hand, and become very familiar with your vacuum. My least favorite part of this pool is vacuuming it. The chlorine clears it up beautifully and causes all that algae to drop to the floor. The vacuuming maybe takes about 20 min and prepare to see the water level drop a bit and have water every where in your yard. I don't mind that part. I'm just so happy it got cleaned. I also recommend you buy a water testing kit to start learning about balancing the pool water AND buy yourself a robot vacuum!!!!! I have my robot cleaning the pool everyday to pick up what I could not and it's sooooo clear and helps reduce manually vacuuming the pool. All in all, this pool takes work. No pool company will come out and work on it for me bc it's not an installed above ground pool so I am entirely on my own. I'm a new mom of 2 and my husband only helped me move the heavy thing and clean out the water. If I can do this, so can you. It's 5 star because nothing I got frustrated about is any fault of the pool. It happens with any pool and the amazing part was I could fix it myself without paying anyone. Intex customer service is hit or miss depending on if you get someone overseas or native English speaker but I won't deduct a point for that either. Everything still works and it feels like a brand new pool still.

Nice pool for the summer
The setup was easy build took less then 3 hours, size is 24 x 12 x 52, It could be less but in the florida heat it was hard to worked outdoor the iron bars and the pool material got hot so we took our time but it's was easy all parts was easy to get together, if your back yard is level ,so u don't need extra expenses I was thinking to build a wood dack but the price was not worth it in spacial when u rent house, the pump was easy setup too no any deficlty to operate, I tooked few step beyond to avoid sun damages on the pump and boght a garden tool box and put the pump inside to make sure work properly and out of the sun or rain damages, its worth the money the pool and the pump work perfectly no issues, water is crystal clear we got the salt water so u need to add like 4-5 bags of salt in the beginning then its just maintenance to fill water took me like 2.5 days its was fast, overall nice and fun pool I got the 24x12x52 Note: if u decide to add wood chock under the supports bar make sure u get them wide enough to not get slipped out when u loading the water the bar start to move/slide out I put 2x4 and the just slide down if u keep eye on them when u strat to pore water keep adjusting them before the pool get full water then it too late u can't move or adjusting them I got some of them moved and the bar slide down no I need to get jack or tool to balance them back so keep eye on the or get wider wood. enjoy
