Wrought Iron Style Exterior Handrail/ Garden Railing With One Bolt Down Post. These versatile handrails are an affordable DIY method of adding a handrail to your property. The handrail will attach to a wall at one end with a post at the other end. The handrail pivots on the wall bracket and post, allowing it to sit at the angle you require. Please note that the wall bracket is not designed to sit in a lower position than the top of the post. These handrails are great for providing a little extra support down a set of steps, typically from your front or back door. The handrail is designed to sit at approx 90cm high, the ideal height for holding onto. Available in a choice of finishes: Bare Metal - supplied with no coatings applied, allowing you to add the finish of your choice and colour. Black Zinc Primed - one coat of a zinc based paint is applied to help prevent rust, your rail will arrive black and will require a top coat and then the usual ongoing maintenance you traditionally associate with wrought iron. Specification - Top handrail - 40mm x 12mm convex half moon solid bar. Post - 40mm x 40mm box section with a plate welded to the bottom in an offset position, with four pre-drilled and countersunk holes. The plate is welded in an offset position to allow you to place the post flush against a step etc if needed. The holes in the base plate are drilled to 9mm.The handrail extends 20cm beyond the post. The length of handrail is the total length from one end to the other.

A good. simple handrail.
Basically it was easy to install, although we had a problem with the hardness of the paving blocks. it's made navigating a high step much easier. I don't know what an 'excellent' hand rail might be - this is a very good simple solution.

Brilliant!
Having had surgery on my foot I need help with the steps to my front door. I chose this handrail because it looked very smart - not at all 'disabled' in concept or appearance. The builder/handyman who installed it was so impressed that he has taken the details and is thinking of buying one for himself. As well as stylish it is very sturdy. An excellent buy.

just what we needed
arrived ok well packed with instructions small problem with eg as it is blocks on the steps but think we got round the problem and all is well at the moment very pleased with it.

Perfect, and extremely practical
It was easy to have installed. It's attractive and very sturdy. The back garden can now be accessed safely without my husband needing help and support.

Does what it is supposed to do
This has been a good buy. It provides support when going up and down steps to a house. It is solid, sturdy and gives the householder more confidence when entering and leaving the house. It does what it is supposed to do, and does it well.
