Okay for short periods; size chart not helpful
I am currently pregnant and suffering from vericose veins on my calves so I have been wearing compression sleeves. I wanted to get a lightweight, quick-drying, non-fabric type pair of compression sleeves that I can wear in the pool with my kids. These seem to work pretty well for that purpose. However, I would not really recommend them for all-day wear. They are pretty thin and don't seem to have much compression to them. Also, the sizing chart is not helpful at all. Generally, sizing charts for calf sleeves go by calf circumference. This chart only lists the actual size of the sleeve, unstretched, but does not give any information about how much they stretch, so it is nearly impossible to pick the correct size solely from the size chart. I simply guessed based on other brand's size charts and bought a medium first. They fit and I don't think they would slip off but they did not feel like they were giving my any compression. I am returning them and got a small pair instead, which is better for me. Unfortunately, you might have to go by trial and error like I did if you are not sure. If you are looking for a pair to wear all day, or that has more compression, it is well worth the cost to buy a more expensive pair. I recommend Zensah Compression Leg Sleeves, which have reduced my leg pain to almost nil as long as I wear them continually: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B003JYV6DY/ref=twister_B005JW0ZPO?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
