Worked for my model RF28HDEDBSR/AA
My fridge stopped working due to a build up of ice in the fan. I wasn't able to get the old cover off to defrost cleanly so I had to buy this as a replacement. It was easy to install. It has been a month and I'm happy to report no ice build up and the fridge is functioning as it should. Saved me junking the fridge! One note not related to this item - I noticed that there were hairline cracks in the plastic behind the cover where the ice had built up. To be safe, I sealed the cracks with sealer tape as well. The cracks were barely noticeable so if you need to do the same thing I did, inspect closely!

Saved me a costly repair
My fridge fan had been acting up for a few weeks and I finally worked up the courage to take off the inside back panel to figure out what was wrong. ICE. When I took the original panel out I mutilated it. Of course it was 1pm in the afternoon on a Saturday. Hopped online and found this replacement cover, with all the insulation I needed, with the fan, wiring, everything. It CAME THE NEXT DAY. Installation of this replacement was an absolute breeze, everything fit perfectly, and I could not be happier.

Wow - so simple
My Samsung fridge became a giant freezer. The door said it was 80 degrees in the fridge and 4 in the freezer. But everything inside the fridge was frozen solid. I thought it was a temp sensor, which I bought, replaced and and had not luck. Called a repair guy, paid him $85 to tell me I needed an "evap cover". He actually said, "save yourself $300 and order & install it yourself". So I did.Since I had already replaced a temp sensor, I knew how to get the cover off. Since all that my broken fridge needed was this new cover, this was incredibly easy. And anyone can do this yourself. You need the patience to remove everything from the fridge & a screwdriver.I unplugged the fridge, let it sit for around 90 min to let the frozen coils thaw, wiped up water (inside the fridge) with a towel, put the new cover on, plugged it back in and voila! It takes about 3 minutes to actually replace the evap cover, another 5 min to put all the shelves, drawers and food back in, and about 1 hour for all the temps to return to normal. The unit has been working correctly for 3 days so far. Will update if the unit fails.

Item defective and can’t figure out to get repair under warranty
The item’s temperature sensor is defective but neither Amazon nor the seller Samsung seem to have any option to request a warranty repair. I guess I won’t buy parts through Amazon and from Samsung again!

Exactly what I needed
I needed to replace this panel on my French door refrigerator after having to remove it one too many times to clear ice and ended up with damaged Styrofoam on the original panel. This time I added a supplemental heater to the area near the fan, so maybe this will be the last time.Price was significantly lower for this item than what other sellers were listing it for but it's definitely new and OEM.

Samsung refrigerator
It works so far. This is the third one we have put in this refrigerator. I hope it last more than a couple of years.

perfect
it worked perfectly....if you have to remove the evaporator cover, you will have to destroy the old one

Does not fit rf261beaesr
It hooked up and ran functionally, but it is not the right length for the rf261beaesr. The holes do not align to screw it in, therefore the drawers don't fit underneath, and nothing aligns.
