A beleaguered succubus must discover who’s disturbing her dreams before it’s too late in this urban fantasy from a #1 New York Times –bestselling author. First, Georgina Kincaid, a shape-shifting succubus who gets her energy from seducing men, can’t have sex with her gorgeous bestselling author boyfriend Seth Mortensen—in case she inadvertently kills him. Second, Georgina’s under demonic orders to mentor the new (and surprisingly inept) succubus on the block. Third, someone’s manipulating her dreams, draining her energy and supplying eerie visions of her future. Georgina seeks answers from Dante, a dream interpreter with ties to the underworld, but his flirtatious charm only leaves her more confused—especially as the situation with Seth reaches a crisis point. Georgina needs to rein in her out-of-control love life and go toe-to-toe with an enemy capable of wreaking serious havoc among mankind. Otherwise, Georgina, and the entire mortal world, may never sleep easy again… Praise for the work of Richelle Mead “This is one of those series I'm going to keep following.”— New York Times bestselling author Jim Butcher on Succubus Blues “My kind of book—great characters, dark worlds, and just the right touch of humor. A great read.”— New York Times bestselling author Patricia Briggs on Storm Born Review: Succubus Dreams - Succubus Dreams has broken my heart for the second time, even though I knew what was coming! Although I had forgotten how it came about, so I still audibly gasped when these things did happen! Life has continued on as normal for Georgina and Company, except now there's a new succubus in town. And Georgina is tasked as mentor to Tawny who is probably the most inept succubus in history. Then Georgina starts having very vivid dreams which leave her drained by morning, and things with Seth seem to be more tense than usual. I absolute love Succubus Dreams. Again it shows us just how much Georgina longs to be human, or at least how she aches for humanity. Her dreams, while happy, torment her because they show what can never be. Not to mention that no matter how many men she sleeps with, she can't hold a charge, which makes it harder to keep her lips off of Seth. And he's not making it any easier, because he does want her. Badly. Seth finally has some reactions to everything that is going on with him and Georgina. Obviously, their relationship is far from normal, and that's okay. But they still have real problems which cannot simply be put off on the fact that she's immortal and he's not. As much as I hated their fights, everything said is 100% spot on. I still don't have to like it though. Aside from the relationship drama, Succubus Dreams also has an engaging plot. Tawny is a pretty humorous addition to the cast, because she just sucks so badly at being a succubus! Then there's the matter of an army of angels being in town, but not saying why. Georgina of course figures that out while trying to learn why she's being drained in her sleep. Very interesting stuff. Then there's the matter with one of the angels, and it almost made me cry! I don't think that happened the first time, but just aahh! My heart. Succubus Dreams is one of those books that just rips your heart out. It's impossible to not get caught up in these character lives, even the secondary ones. I may know what's coming next but that didn't stop me from feeling the emotional ups and downs once again. Review: More warm fun from Richelle Mead ... - This is the third in the series of Georgina, the reluctant, tender-hearted succubus. Let me preface by saying I'm not a fan of erotica and the title kept me away from this series for far too long, as I assumed I'd find some sort of literary porn at the series' root. And while there are certainly a few explicit descriptions of sexual situations, in general these play a very small part of the novel and the series and are not at all gratuitous in the overall context. What I like best about the series is the humor. I'm not talking about the riotous laughter of a Mary Janice Davidson or a Janet Evanovich novel. It is more of a warm chuckle that happens not constantly but frequently throughout each book. These books while suspenseful are not driven by sword fights or action adventure. So if that's your thing, you should probably seek elsewhere. But if you're looking for a warm romantic comedy with compelling characters told by a masterful story teller, then I would highly recommend not only this book but the whole series. In contrast to some of the reader-reviewers, I liked the very interesting developments in the relationship between Seth and Georgina. SB Frank Recommends: All the (current) books in this series. Succubus Dreams... or Beautiful Nightmares?
Oh book 3... This one was something else... So much deeper than the first two books... So much more emotion... In this one, we see Georgina and Seth in very vulnerable emotionally raw states. I almost didn't make it through the whole book. I actually had to stop reading for a few days to get back to a state where I could finish. Despite the emotional upheaval caused by this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny, erotic, and jam packed with mystery. We also meet new characters who make the story so much more interesting: There's Tawny: the buxom dimwitted succubus who couldn't seem to catch a man if he threw himself at her for some reason There's Niphon: Ok, so he isn't so new since he's the imp who bought Georgina's soul once upon a long time ago, but this aggravating son of a biscuit can't seem to leave her alone (even after finishing, I still don't know why) There's Dante: who carries a big secret, but would love nothing more than to lose himself in Georgina's pants (him being hot is besides the point) There's Vincent, Yasmine, & Joel: let's just call these friends of Carter's (kinda sorta) the Angel Squad. And last but not least (since she plays a pretty big part), there's Maddie: Doug's sister who has THE biggest crush on Seth... The drama and mystery really left me scratching my head though. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out what's going on before it's revealed, but this time I couldn't for the life of me figure this one out. So when the culprit behind Georgina's missing energy was finally revealed, I was very much surprised. Plus, the mixing of the different cultures (not to mention the flashbacks to Georgina's past) make for a very interesting read. I found myself literally laughing out loud and getting thoroughly pissed right along with Georgina (thanks to Richelle Mead's AMAZEBALLS descriptive writing). She just knows how to drag me into her stories... I just can't seem to escape... But then again, I don't think I want to... :)

Spoilers, What Happened?!
The Georgina Kincaid series is my newest addiction. I just finished Succubus Dreams, and I was shocked, stunned, and heartbroken. It would be one thing if Seth had simply broken up with her, but going to Maddie--and then being a public couple with her--was like a knife in my heart. The public appearances he made with Maddie were like it was sealing the deal, that he and Georgina are truly done. (I felt a bit betrayed and disgusted that that he and Georgina were a secret for so long, but he had no problem coming out in front of God and everyone with Maddie right away.) The first two books were AMAZING, but after reading the third one, I realized I'd grown to love the characters, especially Georgina. My heart just breaks for her. The scene where Maddie tells her she'd slept with Seth was like a bad dream. Even so, I was blind-sided when Seth chose to end things and intimated things were not over with Maddie. Thank goodness for kindle and a holiday weekend, so I can start book 4 and read into the night (can sleep when I'm dead, haha) and hope it helps heal the rawness of finishing book 3. This might sound a bit emotional, but I literally just finished the book and am still reeling! Definitely a great book. She is a fantastic author.

Love this series!
I'm really loving this series. Richelle Mead has presented an interesting take on the battle between good and evil in the Georgina Kincaid series; it's thought-provoking without being heavy handed. There are plenty of light moments to balance the persistent undercurrent of darkness, making for a dynamic entertaining read. I enjoyed the new character Dante and hope he will be a permanent fixture in the series. And I loved getting a better understanding of the role of angels in this world. I'm intensely curious about Carter and I'm glad his role in the stories is getting bigger. I've read some criticism of the increased sexual content in this novel and I have to respectfully disagree. This installment was hotter than the previous books, but feels very natural given what the character is going though both emotionally and supernaturally. I was a bit disappointed in the romantic storyline in this one. I wasn't surprised by what happened, but it didn't seem like Georgina's reactions were authentic to me. She practically set the whole thing up herself and seems to brush off any responsibility for that in the end. Perhaps Ms. Mead has plans to explore this in later books, in which case I'll revise my opinion here, but for now I just have a hard time believing Georgina would focus on so many external influences without looking at her own actions at all.

Best in the series so far!
Book 3 in the Succubus series throws a new curveball at Georgina; she is assigned to mentor a new succubus in training. This might seem like a relatively easy task compared to some of the challenges she has faced in the past, but this trainee is not exactly astute. In fact, the new girl seems to have been short-changed in the common sense department. This new assignment becomes more of a headache than Georgina expects, mostly because she was having a hard time fixing the problems in her personal life even before the new responsibility was added to her work load. Her ongoing problems with Seth have not gotten any better. Seth is trying to finish writing his book and doesn't have much time to spend with her anyway. But when he does, Georgina is rarely available. The lack of time, coupled with the lack of physical intimacy, is putting an enormous strain on their fragile relationship. To make matters worse, Georgina begins having strange dreams that give her visions of her future. The dreams themselves might not be so alarming, except that they drain all of her energy while she is sleeping. And of course you know what this means.... she has to seduce more men to gain back her strength. What could possibly put more strain on her relationship with Seth than more sleeping around?? While trying to unravel the mystery of her dreams, a trusted friend leads Georgina to a man named Dante for an expert interpretation. Dante is clearly interested in Georgina, and while she is still desperately in love with Seth, Dante provides an unusual sort of temptation. This book is my favorite in the Succubus series so far, mostly because the ending was mega dramatic and extremely emotional. I'm not going to give anything away!!! But trust me, nothing in the series will be the same after the way this book ends. Just be glad that book 4 is already published and you won't have to wait to find out what happens next. Besides the ending being great, the dream storyline is very interesting too. It throws a major wrench into Georgina's personal and professional lives. It also puts us in touch with new characters who will undoubtedly play a role in future books. All of the books in this series have some sort of mystery to solve, but this one is the most intense so far. I recommend this series to fans of paranormal romance, particularly if you would like to try something different from the more common vamps and weres. This is definitely an adult series due to strong sexual content. As I mentioned in my review of the first two books, the writing style and character developement is very similar to Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series. Adult fans of that series should like this one as well.

A fantastic Series
I have waited to review any of the books in this series until I finished them all. I can say now without hesitation this is an amazing read, rich with vivid characters from the Succubus Georgina, the Arch demon Jerome, the strangely aloof heavy drinking angel Carter and an array of designer vampires, plastic surgeon imps and so many more I won't name them all here. To say Georgina gets herself into some strange and dangerous situations is an understatement. It was hard to put down these books as you watch her relationship grow, die, rebound and be utterly destroyed (or is it) in ways I did not see coming. The good vs evil battle, the cosmic conflict between heaven and hell, all the workers on both sides who battle daily in mundane jobs as they live as humans and search out souls for their side. This story is simply too good to pass. I would read this again, and plan to someday, but for now I am off to download and read more of this author's books that are sure to please. Thank you Rachel for giving me something to look forward to after work each day. Richard Barber Orlando, FL

This is pretty good. I've seen better writing and better plot
This is pretty good. I've seen better writing and better plot, but overall it's worth the read. The author has a gift for making a supernatural creature seem very relatable and almost normal.

Book 3---Love it
More hot steamy action from that Kincaid lady. You can't help but fall in love with her character. She is definitely a Succubus with heart. This book continues the tale and is definitely one of those hard to put down series. I have read the first 3 books in just over 3 days now. I am seriouslly hooked on these characters. Richelle Mead is an amazing writer right from the Vampire Academy books to sydneys adventures to,now , the Succubus books. Really good.

Always better
Poor George has the worst job on Earth, she works for Hell! She has odd and wonderfull friends around her but unfortunately none of them can help her relationship with writer Seth going down. They love each other so much but life gets on the way! However, they will maybe overcome that if Georgie finds out that something was wrong on her 'contract' with Hell!!! Well, dive in on this brilliant story, full of seduction and page turner! I love them!

An excellent series develops...
Even though I’ll easily go a year without reading books in this series, I really enjoy Richelle Mead’s Succubus novels. Heading back to Seattle to hang out with Georgina Kincaid, succubus supreme, is something I look forward to and which – if I’m honest – I feel like I’ve delayed far too long. In some ways, the third of this series, SUCCUBUS DREAMS is more of the same. But there’s nothing wrong with that. These are great hang out novels, books to just drop into, with fun other-worldly characters that are great to catch up with and find out what they’re up to. Being the kind of supernatural creature she is, Georgina works for Hell taking men’s souls through sex, but her main concern is really the bookshop she works at, and her friends, and her ongoing relationship with her boyfriend, Seth. Each of these novels has a threat – the plot kicking in – that could tear her apart from this fun Seattle lifestyle. But, much like you know James Bond is going to save the day, you know that Georgina will sort things out and it will be back to coffee and book talk by the end. This one is slightly different though. Intriguingly different. As this isn’t really an urban fantasy novel about succubuses and demons and angels, instead it’s a book about relationships. It’s about Georgina and Seth, about Georgina and the other people in her life. Hitherto, I’d have said that the supernatural stuff was the plot to the novels, Here, it’s a window dressing for a plot about a couple and their relationship needs. I’m sure there’ll be some who are disappointed by this, who just want the fantasy stuff and don’t care for the gooey bits. But I loved it. Yes, this is still a novel about a succubus and demons and angels, but – impressively – it’s so much more than that.

This whole series is just excellent. The story line is great and it is all well written. I have purchased the entire series and love them all. There is also a really good twist towards the end, that i just didn't see coming. Really good
