The Great Grill Scraper

This scraper is great for the purpose of hard to remove gunk. I find it epically helpful compared to the wire ones you have to worry about pieces left that go onto your food. It's simple to use and very effective in a short time. No need for tons of elbow grease. Just keep it easy and simple by using this.

I like it, and for hard to clean gunk it's actually superior to the wire brush I have. I think it has something to do with leverage and the solid nature of this scraper...I can get more leverage and apply more force with this tool than I can with the brush. This isn't to say that the brush is useless...indeed, the brush is far superior in light/medium scrubbing over a large area. But for stubborn gunk on one particular grate, or something where you really need to apply some force, this does work better than a wire brush. So I think of this as a specific purpose tool, not a catch-all to use for regular cleaning. And it's working well for me.It's made tough and doesn't bend under pressure.My only real nit is that I wish it were a bit larger...I sometimes have a hard time grabbing it with my fingers. I did experiment by putting it in a Vise Grip and that helped a little, but the angle of the Vise was a bit awkward. Still, it does a good job of tackling baked-on gunk and I'm quite happy with it.

Be careful with wire grill brushes, I have an aunt who just went through a nightmare medical ordeal after a small metal bristle lodged in her throat. She had surgery finally, but it her throat had swollen around the bristle so it took several attempts. She couldn't eat or speak, it was awful. Her surgeon told her that he thinks because most grill brushes are being cheaply made over seas, the bristles come off while cleaning the grill and they are hard to spot, especially if you have sauce or marinade on your food. My aunt thought she had swallowed a bone. The surgeon said he has been seeing an increase in this injury, and I would imagine the bristles could lodge in someone's intestinal tract and cause major problems as well...our entire family has thrown away wire brush grill cleaners and this scraper is a good alternative for us. Please inspect your grill and brushes! If you see bristles that have come off, throw that brush out!

This was my dad's Christmas gift from the cat. LOL Perfect stocking stuffer or small gift for a grill lover. He thought it was cool and intends to use it in the spring. I discussed some of the other review concerns with him so he will use it with those potential flaws in mind. It is not the strongest tool I have ever seen but is what I expected for the price.

The thing works great. Wipe it off in the grass after you are done and finish with a napkin. No annoying wire brush needed. Hang it on your grill and you'll never Los it or.need another cleaning tool again.

Okay, I just bought it as a stocking stuffer for my grill-crazy husband. He likes gadgets for grilling. But he doesn't use this. It's just too little and not manly enough. I didn't want to give 3 stars because of my husband's grill gadget preference not leaning this way, but really, it's still in the baggie, unused.

Got it as a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday. He is a smoker(meats, that is) and thought he could take a break from using the wire brush to scrape the grates in his BBQ and Smoker. It’s tiny, portable and only one piece to carry around.

This seemed like a great tool and was great to add to my husband's stocking. However, after just a few uses, the sides were worn down. I guess he might have pressed too hard, but I expected it to take the force needed to actually clean the grill. Not a big loss based on the price, but I had hoped it would be a cooler tool/gadget.
