They are a little pricey for what they are, suctions cups with little plastic sticks...but I wanted to mount my license plate to the windshield and not have it look ghetto and these work well. I don't park directly in the sun but I do park under a carport and it is a black car in Texas (HOUSTON!) heat and humidity. So far so good, no issues at all. The best part is, I have silicone rubber covers on my plates to make them look nicer and to eliminate glare and sharp edges, which adds weight and these suction cups are still plenty strong enough to hold it up.

We have a little VW Beetle, and the lower bumper came broke on it. The upper never had been drilled into and I didn't want to, so I bought these and mounted the license plate in the window. Absolutely perfect. It doesn't chatter again the window, and it's upright and fully displayed. If you have a classic car, or even something new, like a Tesla, and don't want to drill into it, this is a great alternative. Remember it's for mounting on the inside of the window. Could work for dealer tags off you wanted, but again, you're mounting it inside the car, not outside.

So I bought these not for a license plate, but to stick my homemade ridesshare placards (trade dress/airport placards) on my windshield. They work great! I like the plastic piece that slides on the back of the auction cup so that its contents won't come off. The suction cups hold very well and have yet to fall off on their own - granted they are holding something much lighter than a license plate, and I live in California, so I don't have to worry about the cold. For my purposes, these work great!

Generally, suction cups suck. Figuratively unfortunately. But I bought these to secure a fire cover gate on our gas fireplace so my toddler wouldn't burn his hand if he gets curious, and they work unbelievably well. I've had so much bad luck suction cups, I bought rubber cement to see if that would help them to stick. I put the gate on just to get some positioning straight before I committed to the rubber cement, and they stuck. Two weeks, and a few bumps from kids and toys, and it hasn't moved. I didn't even wet them. Very impressed. Its a very smooth tile surface, so that probably helps, but never the less, these have exceeded my expectations. And the holes were perfect for zip ties to secure the cups to the gate.

If you plan on putting these up and down everyday, you might find that he pins don't stay in the holes as well as they should. Or they just wear out quick. I use them to keep my sunshades up during the day, but after a couple of months eventually the holes are so wide the pins don't stay in them anymore and just fall out onto the floor.

Effective method to mount your license plate on the interior of your windshield. The thickness of the rubber is perfect to insert through the holes on the license plate. Suction cups are strong and will not come off easily. Apply more pressure for a stronger hold.

One of the backings on one of the suction cups did not have the hole through it to place the plastic piece through it. I had to drill a hole through it myself so I could effectively use it. If it were not for that I would have rated a 5. I am an Uber/Lyft driver and use them to hold an LED sign up on my windshield and the suction cups are very strong and stay on my windshield all night with no need to adjust.

Wow! I just ordered this less than 2 days ago and I already received it. The packaging was good. Box little too big I think but at least it has no damage to it. It came with the 4 suction cups and the rubber pin thing to hold the license plate. Looks like the picture. It takes less than a minute to put on maybe 2. Anyways, I recommend this item. Wipe the location you are applying the suction cups on before install. Alcohol wipes, clean rag, etc.
