Excellent Kukri
The Panawal Angkhola Village Farmer Kukri arrived at least 3 days before it was scheduled to, I tracked the packaged all the way from Kathmandu Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Germany before it got to the USA. Amazing to think how far away it came from, forged and entirely made by hand this Kukri is simply amazing, im still at awe at the quality very worth the price. I would recommend anyone looking to buy a kukri, or a more versatile tool for outdoors or around the house other than what's locally available, excellent for spliting wood, chopping down small trees, perfect survival knife.Keep in mind that this is handmade, is not machine perfect, but dont let that scare you off, its a beauty to look at and is a hell of a tool, this thing can do some heavy chores, the sheath is very nice, honestly I cant complain, is wood wrapped in good leather, nice for storing, (not sure if it would hold up in the field), the other two little knives are a cool addition... i cant say anything other than get one, they are worth the money. I went with Ex Gurkha Khukuri House, i will buy from them again.update: I was out back this morning, I had a bone to pick with an ol' cherry tree, dead and dried up, which our machetes couldn't dig into, i was amazed to see how this kukri dispatched that ol' cherry no problem. Also as i mentioned my package got here earlier than scheduled, total time was 4 days from the day i placed the order till it arrived. This is one of the best deals i've found for a great all around knife.

Beast
Very stout Kukri with an incredibly thick, but also very sharp blade. I never intended to use this as a chopper; I have machetes, hatchets, and axes for that... but I don't doubt for a second that this would do a fine job if pressed into duty. Considering what happened there recently, I'm glad I bought one from Nepal; they need all the commerce they can get.

I have had no further problems with the handle coming loose and the blade takes and holds a great edge and has a far better edge
Arrived very fast and was well oiled and with no rust, but I did have to hammer the rivets in the handle because the scales on mine came loose. After that, I have had no further problems with the handle coming loose and the blade takes and holds a great edge and has a far better edge geometry than I was expecting. The sheath is pretty plain but it serves its intended purpose. And I have to say, this knife chops way better than a 10" knife should, which came in on my scale at about 23oz without the sheath.

Wowee. This beast just arrived. I was hoping it was going to be this level of quality, but given the price I had my doubts. Oh ho, not so.I've been a knife guy for awhile now. Not an expert, but a picky fan. You know the smell of fresh quality, cared for metal and leather? I want a scented candle of what this blade smells like. The blade is meaty and heavily oiled out of the sheath. Full tang, 1/4" thick at most of the spine. Can't provide an exact weight, but it's similar to a nice hatchet. It's got some "character enhancements" as you'd expect from a blade like this, but nothing to indicate shoddy workmanship. I've got medium sized hands and the handle feels like the first handshake from your dad. It's a little rough at the pommel, but not more than will wear out over a season of use or a couple minutes love with a file. The blade bevel is a little uneven, however not enough to detract from the pleasure of this brute. Those two little pieces you see in the sheath? Those are the chakmak and karda, which also came really nicely oiled. The karda (the little companion knife) is 1/16" thick, 4-7/16" long with a 2-1/4" blade. It's a partial tang of some sort, but can't say for sure. The chakmak is used for sharpening, but I'll wait to get some wear on the kukri to use it. Handle on both is really nice. The sheath is a lot higher quality than I expected. It's a custom sheath made by very experienced hands. Whoever made this loves their job. The retention on full kukri sheaths are naturally really well due to the shape of the blade. The one oddball factor right now is steel quality. I can't find information on the type of steel, but this sexy girl is going to be put through it's paces this summer. If I don't come back and edit, assume it all went well.----UPDATE----So I put it through a couple paces and the wood handle separated from the blade at the bottom. Not extensive use, not trying to Paul Bunyan. It's like the pins are just for show. It should not have broken this easily. I'm leaving it at two stars out of optimism. Given the quality otherwise, it's likely a defect.
