Classic and snazzy!
I used a Deering video to learn how to attach this cradle strap. I spent a few minutes to adjust the strap for my body size and banjo circumference. The sheepskin pad fits perfectly and is SO SOFT and comfortable that I'll never go back to my old strap. The leather has a nice smell and is well made. The color is exactly what I expected. This strap is a great complement to my instrument. It isn't flashy, nor does the mounting clash with the banjo. And I'm very happy to have ditched the little metal clips that my old strap used. Love this product!

Fits my plectrum banjo perfectly, very comfortable, highly recommended!
Love this strap, fits my Deering Plectrum Banjo with a resonator perfectly. Easy to install, looks great and the padding makes it very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Too long but great. Just had to shorten.
This is a great strap but it was way too long for a banjo. I had to remove one of the leather straps to shorten it enough to be usable. The length is the exclusive reason for the four star review. Other than the length I love the strap.

Great strap, except for...
After figuring out how to shorten this strap for my 5 foot tall frame and still keep the padded shoulder strap over my shoulder, I was very pleased when I tried it on with attached banjo. The sheepskin (I wonder, is it really sheepskin or synthetic??) provides the padding I need to hold my heavy banjo on a shoulder that has had surgery in the past. What a relief! I originally had a Lakota cradle strap on there with no padding and I couldn't stand it after an hour or so. (The Lakota strap is great, and I like its design much better than the Levy's. The Lakota cradle is one long strip and not 2 like Levy's.) I put the Lakota on my light open back banjo--perfect! Anyway, I know I will love this Levy's banjo strap. The ONLY thing I am not happy about is the color. I ordered it in Walnut to go with my Bishline walnut banjo, but instead of matching, it it much more orange-ish than I would have expected. It sorta sticks out there instead of blending into the instrument. I wish I had ordered it in brown instead.

Not Long Enough
I found that this strap is not quite long enough for my acoustic guitar. I tried to find an 'extension', but the only one that Levy's sells / makes is one in black. Since the strap I bought was Dark Brown, I'd wanted an extension in that same color. All in all, the quality is good, but the strap should be longer in my opinion.

Functional, but Low Quality. Not Worth It.
I have a Levy's guitar strap that I love, which is why I went with this brand for a banjo strap. I was expecting it to be the same, or at least similar quality, but looking at the pictures I noticed there was no stitching on it which was my first concern. I found it on Amazon Warehouse for cheap so I figured I'd give it a shot. The quality difference between this and my guitar strap are night and day. This banjo strap is cheaply made and I wouldn't recommend it at all. I was considering sending it back even though I paid half price on it. The leather on this strap is over-processed, cheap, and plasticky. It is "genuine" leather, which is to say very low quality. If you do a search on what genuine leather is, you'll see what I mean. It's basically the particle board of leather. Everything on the strap is glued together and has no stitching. The sheepskin is comfortable, but I'm almost certain it's synthetic and won't last the test of time. Have a look at the picture of my Levy's guitar strap vs this Levy's banjo strap. If you can't tell the huge difference in quality simply from this picture, you might like this strap. Otherwise, I would steer clear.

Second one
These straps are beautiful and comfy and so very well made. It is a pain in the keester to get the cradle right but once they're set they stay right where you put them.

Overpriced feels like plastic
Poor quality for the price very thin leather. The sheepskin? Looks to be synthetic and isn't even stiched to the main stap just glued. Would expect this quality from a cheap China site

Sitzt wirklich ganz angenehm
Der Gurt lรคsst sich gut am Banjo befestigen. Durch das eingearbeitete Fell sitzt er ganz angenehm auf der Schulter. Das Banjo hat mit mir zusammen mehr Halt bekommen. Vielen Dank

Might not fit your banjo - check your clearances.
I really like the quality of this item, but the cradle bands are too wide to fit under the bracket hooks on my Gold Tone CR-100R. I am skilled enough with leatherwork to fix this myself, but they're 20mm wide from the manufacturer, and my Gold Tone has room for only 12mm wide strips. Measure your hooks if you are considering this product.
